Five Friday Favorites

Happy Friday. I can't believe that September is already coming to an end. Ella's birthday is on Monday, her party next weekend, and Halloween will be here before we realize it. Cold fall weather is finally here, atleast for now. This morning I woke up to 49 degrees outside and 69 in the house. Not turning on the heat just yet.

Being that it is Friday, I am joining in with ErikaNarci, and Andrea for some random Friday Favorites of the week.

1- Little boy kisses. He randomly came over and kissed my cheek a bunch of times and didn't want anything. Normally I use bribery to get kisses when he wants something, like my phone or me to get up. He can be so sweet.

2- Aubriella had her first school field trip. She got to ride a bus and go to an local farm, pick apples and a pumpkin. She said she had so much fun she wants to go again, but take me with her.

3- Dad put YouTube fire trucks on his laptop for Austin. The boy and his obsessions.

4- I participated in a Mug Love exchange with some other wonderful blogging ladies. I am loving my new "A" mug I got.  You can read about it more HERE

5- Yesterday was the best day ever for this little boy.  He got to see school buses twice, garbage trucks x4, and a fire truck and ambulance that was chilling in front of our house. (no lights or sirens) The little things in life that make you happy.

Hope you have a great weekend.

I am also linking up with week with North Carolina Charm for Five Friday.

September Carpool Book Club

It's a crazy day with blog link ups. It is the last Thursday of the month, that can mean nothing more than it is time for Carpool Book Club with Grace and Love

Today has a slower month for reading for me. I have a lot on my plate with training to be a Girl Scout leader, PTA member, and watching more TV. I am a sucker for Hallmark love story movies and have spent more time watching romance than reading any. ( I dvr'd a bunch to watch)

This months book club read I just finished. We started later in the month, and I was slow this time. We read the first book to the series The Redhead Series: The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton. (We normally don't read series but a member didn't follow directions. Now I want to read the rest of the series)

It took me a while to read this book. I wasn't drawn in every chapter. Some of the story line is drawn out. With it being part of a series after reading just this book there are a lot of unanswered questions. It was a great story line, but don't read unless you plan on reading the whole series.

Every morning I start by reading for about 10-15 minutes a personal development to motivate and inspire my life and business. This months read was She Means Business by Carrie Green.

Carrie is a success entrepreneur who helps other women trying to build their own business. Her book helps you get all your ideas to make sense, written down, and steps to start making things happen for you. It is a very inspiring book to help you get take control, change any negative thought process, and give you that extra push. It is a must read for any thriving business owner.

Since we started our book club read a little late. I got to read a few more fun books from the "A Billionaire Love Story, The Kisses Series" by Krista Lakes. Last month I read Saltwater Kisses and Freshwater Kisses. This month I continue in the series and read Rainwater Kisses, Sandcastle Kisses, and Hurricane Kisses.

I love a good romance novel. I really enjoy this series that you can read it out of order and it still makes sense. Each book doesn't leave you with more unanswered questions, but all the stories and somewhat intertwined.

Mug Love Exchange

I have a big love for coffee, tea, and coffee mugs. I have my favorites and ones I don't like (those ones magically disappear). I even have ones for special occasions. I need a bigger cupboard for my mugs. I love big mugs, small mugs, Disney mugs, photo mugs, and quotes. I even bring a new mug home every time we go to Disney. I use to collect shot glasses now it's coffee mugs, does that mean I am old now.
When I saw that Stephanie over at Wife Mommy and Me was having a mug exchange, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

I was paired up with Susan who is a Texan. If you haven't checked out her blog before you must. You can find out more about her and her adorable family over at The Courson Crew. I love getting to know people better through reading their blog.

Susan spoiled me with my package. I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw the box on my door step. I ran inside and had to open it up. The size of the box (wish I would have taken a picture) I had a feeling there was more than just a mug in there.

Susan spoiled me with chocolate, without even knowing "chocolate makes everything better" and a pumpkin pie candle that makes me want to bake a pie already. She left me the sweetest note as well. I had been looking for a fall hand towel the day before too. It was just meant to be.

Now onto the mug. It is beautiful and perfect. I love it. The size is perfect to hold my large coffee I have every morning. I don't have a cup that has an "A" or my name on it. I means it is mine to use and no one else.

Thank you so much to Stephanie for hosting this fabulous fun mug exchange. And thank you to Susan for your generosity, being a great partner and hitting in on the nose of something I would like.

Weekend Wrap Up with Date Night

Good Morning. Happy Monday. I had a busy and a productive weekend. I got caught up on some things around the house, and some training videos I needed to watch for Girl Scouts, (but still a lot more to watch.) Now time to get back into my routine for the week. Its going to be another busy Monday with picking up Ella from her dads, home to get ready for school, breakfast, walk to school, mom and Austin time with lots cuddles, playing, chores and to-do's, walk to get up Ella from school, home to make dinner, off to cheerleading, home for bath and bed time, and then I finally get to relax. I have a love - hate relationship with Monday's. (How many more weeks do we have left of cheerleading?)

Time for a little weekend wrap- up:

Friday was Ella's picture day. I had bought her the cutest dress with long sleeves and cut out shoulders. Then it turned out to be in the upper 80's and there was no way I was sending her to school, that doesn't have air conditioning with long sleeves on. She picked out this dress instead.

Friday was the first day of Fall means time to make Pumpkin Cookies. Who am i kidding. I started everything pumpkin on September 1st and could eat and drink pumpkin all year round.

Friday was also flex Friday in my virtual fit club. I am starting to see more definition again.

Brian had won tickets to a Clam Bake at the 100th Bomber Group restaurant in Cleveland. We were able to find a babysitter at the last minute and decided to go. We had talked about trying out a clam bake for a while, but never ended up going. I have to be honest and say we were not impressed. Our service sucked, the food was ehh, my sweet potato was under cooked, and Brian's steak was over cooked. We still enjoyed ourselves and want to try out the actually real restaurant side, and will never do the clam bake again.

We ended out night with a fire at Brian's parents house.

What else would we be doing Saturday morning, besides cheerleading game. It was a hot game. Sitting in the sun and at 10 am it was already 82 degrees. The girls weren't very energetic with the heat so they ended early.

Every quarter my company holds local Super Saturday events, where you hear inspiring stores, tips for being productive and working the business, and find out the latest news and product releases. I use to be apart of the local market council but split ways for personal reasons. On being able to commit to events on Saturday mornings. Being at my daughters cheerleading games is more important to me.
This past Saturday was our quarterly event. One council has made a virtual event for those who can't physically attend an event, but still get all the details, and information. I loved that I was able to hop on live and watch. I can't wait for a new program being released Oct 3rd and another one in January.

Saturday night Brian had planned a date night. We ended up going to Lakewood and having amazing tacos from Barrio.

We ended our night at Crocker Park having martini's are Bar Louie. I have a Smores martini.

Sunday's I plan as my rest day. That means cleaning out my fridge, making a grocery list, making my weekly menu, going grocery shopping, and doing some food prepping. I love having a stocked, organized fridge. It makes eating healthy easier when I have grab and go quick healthy snacks available.

On I don't normally work out, and if i do it is usually yoga. This week though I skipped Saturday. I wasn't feeling good, took a nap, had to much on my schedule and it didn't get done. Instead of stressing it, I used Saturday as my rest day and Sunday did my skipped workout. All that matters is I got done.

Hope you had a fun filled fabulous weekend.

Fall Home Tour

Happy Friday. It is the first day of Fall officially. Mother Nature must be confused since our high's are in the upper 80's, to in the 50's and 60's where they are supposed to be.
We have had a busy week in our household with cheerleading practice, Girl Scouts sign ups, PTA milk mom, and PTA meeting. Every night this week has been something else going on. I am ready for a somewhat relaxing weekend, and a date night. Fingers crossed it actually happens.

I am joining in with ErikaNarci, and Andrea for some Friday Favorites. Sharing the little bit of fall decorations I have going around my house. I would love to do more, but my kids would just undo it or break something. Hopefully next year we will be out of Terrible Two's.

I love Mickey and Minnie. I found this a few years ago at Walgreens and it has become a favorite of ours for the fall season. Yes it maybe more Halloween but I like it for fall also. It does have a cord to plug in and light up. It just takes a night light bulb, but Austin plays with them, points at Mickey and Minnie, gives kisses and drops it. You drop it once the light bulb is broke and not worth the struggle. I just took the light out

In the living room we have 5 selves on the walls with pictures. Under all the pictures are some fake fall leaves with small fake pumpkins I bought years ago.

I know I need to get some more recent pictures put in our frames.

Above the TV there is also a cute little scare crow, a "Give Thanks" pumpkin and a pumpkin pie scented candle that I burn occasionally.

I love this sign I found at the dollar store. It reminds me of some many great memories from the Fall season.

On top of the kids toy shelf I have a few pumpkins. They actually end up playing with them. Austin will put them in his garbage truck or bulldozer.

Ella asked if she could have a scarecrow on her bed room door. She picked out this cute guy.

This guy hangs on our bathroom door. I made him when I was in middle school in Girl Scouts.

I love all the little fall decorations we have. The little glimpse of pumpkin and orange. It always puts me in a good mood. I also have flowers on the table that are random yellow, purple, and orange. It is whatever I find when I go grocery shopping.

In the words is still a fall wreath for the front door. I have all the items to make it, just need to make the time to make it.

Do you decorate for fall?

Have a Fabulous first weekend of Fall!!!
