Disney Flower and Garden Festival Part 2

One of the best reasons to go to Disney World for the Flower and Garden Festival is for the food. The topiaries are beautiful but it really is all about the food and drinks. If you missed part 1 I talked about the magical topiaries. You can check it out HERE.

I am sharing some of the food and drinks we tried while at the Flower and Garden Festival. There is so much more that we didn't get to try and some that we did try but forgot to take pictures of either. We could have spent our whole vacation just eating around the world at the Outdoor Kitchens.

Up first a few drinks.

Pineapple Beer Flight from Pineapple Promenade

This beer flight is what I was most excited about before we went to Disney, at least as a drink. A few instagramers I follow were talking about it and I have thing right now for pineapple. Out of the three beers I liked two of them.

Watermelon Cucumber Slushy with Tamiami Florida Gin

Who said a cozy was only for coffee. It also works great keeping my fingers warm and my drink cold. I love my Mouse Love Coffee Cozy from Mickey and Mandy. I have to admit, I don't remember the drink, Brian didn't like it and it wasn't a hit with us.

Brian got this beer from Germany. It wasn't part of the Flower and Garden Festival but it deserves mentioning. He also had to get the suveinor glass, that is plastic and he uses all the time. He had Schofferhofer Grapefruit. It is actually a beer we have found at home and have seen a semi with it on the side. It was very refreshing and not over powering with grapefruit taste.

Now onto the best part the FOOD.

Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette

OMG this was my first time ever having a macaroon and I feel in love. It was also the first thing we had to eat once we got to Disney World. It was a great start to our trip.

Spicy Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits from Florida Fresh

I previously was never a fan of grits, but these were delicious. I can still taste them on my tongue 4 months later.

Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer from La Isla Fresca

We are big sea food eats and this sugar cane shrimp was so good.

Fried Cauliflower from Taste of Marrakesh

This is healthy right?

Terriyaki Salmon from Hanami

I love Salmon but this wasn't my favorite it was a little dry.

Lamb Chop from The Berry Basket

This was Brian and mine first time having lamp. Unfortunately we were not a fan of it. It felt slimy and didn't have much flavor.

Sear Scallops from Northern Bloom

Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake from The Honey Bee-stro

This cheesecake was a huge talk of instagrammers and Disney lovers. It was hands down the best cheesecake I have ever had.

I wish the Flower and Garden festival was still going on next month when we go back to Disney. If it wasn't for these samples I would have never tried lamb or found out I liked grits done differently.

Have you had a chance to check out the Flower and Garden Festival at Disney World?
