Friday Favorites

Hey Friends. I have been a little M.I.A. this week really trying to wrap my head around this new reality and figure out what is the new normal for us. Some days have gone better than others. We are still currently on just a 3 week school closure in Ohio but with talks of kids being home the rest of the school year. Every day some place else is getting shorter hours or closing for the time being, from stores to hair salons, and restaurants/bars. It is scary, hard, and awakening. Nothing really is in our control just trying to stay home, but Brian is still working, Ella still goes to her fathers and both her dad and step mom are working. I just hope and pray this will pass quickly. We are all in this together, we all struggle together.

No more negativity today. We still have to be grateful everyday, look for the positive in every situation, and continue to live our lives. With that said here are a few favorites from this week.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these three lovely ladies: ErikaNarci, and Andrea.

~ ONE ~

This week has had some gorgeous sunrises (and sunsets). This was taken Monday morning on my way home from picking up Ella from her dads. It was a great start to the day.

~ TWO ~

Some baking fun. We baked and tried some Irish Soda bed. It turned out gross. The kids still had fun and shared all the mixing. I only had to put it in and out of the oven. We are working on being more independent. Home Ec. 101

~ THREE ~

Since we are stuck home Brian has been getting some of the home remodeling done that we want to do before we put our house on the market. Austin is his little helper. (I have a lot I want to do that isn't getting done with 3 kids and a very clingy baby)

~ FOUR ~

A few parents from Ella's school are hosting a Daily Lego Challenge via facebook. Everyday there is a different theme that the kids can post a photo of their lego. Day 1 was build a roller coaster. The kids have enjoyed building something new everyday. (Friday is Day 3)

~ FIVE ~

Family workout. With the kids home from school we all need need to release a little energy and keep out bodies moving. Why not do it together?
This morning myvirtual fit community got together with our kids and joined in a FREE WORKOUT via conference video. We all streamed the workout and shared in our virtual fit community. Ella said it was so cool, more fun than gym class, and is excited to do it again tomorrow.
Beachbody has released ALL children friendly workouts from FREE!!! From Shaun T, Tony Horton, and Leandro Carvalho. They are workouts the whole family can do together. The workout Ella and I did today was a partner workout and all you needed was a ball.
