Healthy Habits

Hey friends. Happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend. I had a very laid back relaxing weekend. It was just what I needed. Brian has been working on our home renovation projects. He is almost done with the bathroom, I think I feel like every time I turn around he is doing something new.
I ventured out and did half of our grocery shopping. Brian will be doing the rest today at a different store by his work. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. My anxiety was through the roof thinking about wearing a mask, only going one way down an aisle, keeping 6 feet away from people, etc. Thankfully Aldi was somewhat slow and most of the people followed the signs. I still can't wait for all this to be over and everything back to normal. 

As we are all "safe at home" (mindset shift instead of staying stuck at home), many people are looking to start or keep doing their daily healthy habits. There are so many benefits to being consistent with healthy habits. I have a list of healthy habits that I either currently do or am working on doing to better myself and those around me. Don't get over whelmed by the list. You are probably doing most of them without even thinking about. Some of them may not even be a goal for you. 
  • Get rest - If your getting up early means you go to bed early. Your body needs around 7 hours of rested sleep a night
  • Drink more water- your goal is to drink half your weight in oz of water a day. Most people are not even close to that amount
  • Think positive
  • Get Fresh Air
  • Move your body at least 30 minutes a day
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Eat more veggies
  • Change your mindset
  • Stop watching the news everyday
  • Don't drink your calories
  • Set Goals
  • Make a to do list
  • It is ok to say no
  • It is ok to say yes
  • Love yourself
  • Take time for yourself
  • Smile
  • Reduce Stress
  • Talk to friends (text, phone call, video chat, in person when it is safe)
  • Take a break from social media
  • Have fun
  • Be silly
  • Read more
  • Start NOW!

  1. I love this list Adrienne, so many helpful tips! Does your grocery store offer online ordering? I prefer being there to pick up my own produce etc. but online ordering and pick up has saved me during this time!

    I will be honest, I haven't been as healthy as I should during this quarantine. We take a lot of walks and I always get some 'me time' during the day. But I have been shoveling in sweets and not working out like I should.

  2. I honestly haven't watched the news at all! I just can't handle it and I know any big things are going to filter down to me anyway as most people I know do watch the news. I was actually doing so much better with healthy eating, drinking water, and moving before all this hit but did just start tracking on Weight Watchers yesterday to try and keep myself accountable.
