Mama's Heart

To all the Mama's, this was just on my heart that I wanted to share.

Before we were a mother, we thought we could rock it. No questions asked. Motherhood would go perfectly as planned. Our kids would always be perfect little angels without any issues. We could handle anything thrown at us alone without the help of others.

  • I remember when walking the grocery store and seeing a child throwing a fit I would think "My child will never do that when I'm a mother."
  • Or hearing about the mom that never slept, that wasn't going to be me. (what is sleep)
  • Don't get me started on women who breastfed their babies past them having teeth. Yep I was never going to do that. (Anna is 2.5 and still breastfed)
  • I saw friends houses that had toys everywhere and said "my house will never look like that when I'm a mother. Their toys will all be in their room" (we have toys in every room)

Motherhood is HARD. We didn't even know we could have so much love for something so small that we just met. Then we have another child and love them just as much.

Now we are just trying to do our best. We are responsible for more than just ourselves. Mom guilt is a real thing. We sometimes mess up, we are tired, and we never stop being a mother. But our love for our children is there everyday, every season, every phase of being a mom.

There are highs and low. It can be exciting and exhausting. No one is perfect, there is no such thing as perfect. Even though we may try to seem perfect especially on social media.

No one will love your child the way a mother does.

Our kids are a blessing and make us who we have grown to be today. They are a gift we get to enjoy.

I don't know how your day is going Mama. It could be a hard day after a rough night and temper tantrums. or You could be having an amazing day with things going as planned. I just wanted to remind you, you are never alone in your journey through motherhood. From family, friends, and internet friends we are always here to help each other when needed. Need someone to talk to I am only a keyboard or phone away.
