Let's Look- How We Keep Healthy

Hey loves. It is going to be a busy day. I pick up Ella from her dads, we will be home for about a half an hour then off to Austin's speech therapy. After that we head to my parents to drop off the two older kids and head straight to Anna's yearly doctors appointment. I thought summer was suppose to be relaxed.

Lets look and staying healthy. Today I am linking up with Shay and Erika for their monthly Lets Look series.

This could be a long post but I will try to keep it short. Disclaimer this is what works for me and may not work for everyone, I am not a professional always talk to your doctor too.

- More Your Body

Weather it be working out from home or going for a walk my goal is to get 30 minutes of movement 5 days a week. I have a small workout area set up in my basement, soon I will have a spin bike (it ships next month), I have a variety of weights and bands, and I stream my workouts from Beachbody on Demand.

- Drink All the Water

My goal is to drink 70 oz of water a day, which is about half my body weight in oz of water. I have learned for myself that having my water near by and drinking out of a cup with a straw helps me reach my goal.

- Eat the Rainbow

Veggies are my go to snack. Right now I like air fried carrot fries, sliced mini cucumbers, and celery with sun butter.

- Limit Processed Food

I am no ways perfect with this but I do try to stay away from processed snacks and sugary foods.

- Read or Listen to Personal Development

It may sound clique but when I started reading personal development it changed my mood and mindset. I was able to push back/ignore a lot of the negativity and focus on the positive.

- Wash Your Hands

If we all didn't hear this enough when the pandemic started.

- Supplements

Every morning we all take vitamins in our family. My kids do just a multivitamin and elderberry. Brian and I do more. I take a probiotic and digestive enzymes that Brian doesn't take. We both take elderberry, multivitamins, vitamin c, vitamin d3, and allergy pills. Brian also takes Zinc (not pictured)

Every day for the past 8 years pretty much I have my Shakeology. Currently I have been making it into a bowl with fresh fruit instead of blending it. Shakeology is NOT a protein shake (it only has 16g protein) it is more a nutrition shake.

- Journal

I notice I am more relaxed and present throughout the day when I take the time to journal and write things out. Right now I am loving God Bless this Messy Journal.

- Make Time for You

You can't pour from an empty cup.

- Get Outside

It summer, the weather is gorgeous most days and my kids love being outside. This forces me outside too.
