Mushroom Swiss Burger
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 small onion, grated
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
Directions:
- In a large bowl add meat.
- Grate onion over the bowl, you want the juices too.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt pepper, and garlic powder.
- Last add egg.
- Mix with hands, but don't over work.
- Score into 4 equal portions then each portion into 2 more portions making 8 total.
- Form into patties.
- Freeze until ready to use or preheat grill.
- Preheat skillet over medium heat.
- Add EVOO
- Saute onion for about 5 minutes.
- Add burgers to the grill
- Add sliced mushrooms to skillet. Cook until carmelized.
- A minute before burgers are done top with swiss cheese.
- Top bun with burger and mushroom.
- Serve
