 Mushroom Swiss Burger


  •  2 lbs ground beef or turkey
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms


  1. In a large bowl add meat.
  2. Grate onion over the bowl, you want the juices too.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Last add egg.
  5. Mix with hands, but don't over work.
  6. Score into 4 equal portions then each portion into 2 more portions making 8 total.
  7. Form into patties. 
  8. Freeze until ready to use or preheat grill.
  9. Preheat skillet over medium heat.
  10. Add EVOO
  11. Saute onion for about 5 minutes.
  12. Add burgers to the grill
  13. Add sliced mushrooms to skillet. Cook until carmelized. 
  14. A minute before burgers are done top with swiss cheese.
  15. Top bun with burger and mushroom.
  16. Serve
