Hey loves. Have you realized that February is just two days away? I am ready for a new month but feels like it is coming so quickly. Every February I do something a little special for each of my kids to remind them that they are loved and appreciated. Heart A Day!!!!!
Every morning during the month of February my kids wake up to a new heart on their door. I have been doing this for a few years since seeing it on Facebook years ago. Ella even asked the other day if we were doing hearts on the door again this year. Yes, yes we are. And boy do we need that extra love, encouragement, and appreciation right now.
I keep it simple by just cutting hearts out of construction paper that I grabbed at the dollar store. I have seen others who have used heart doilies or used their printer. Some years I have had the affirmations written out in advance, other years I wrote them out the morning of or the night before. There is no wrong or right it is just works best for you and your family.
One year I continued on the affirmations into March and did shamrocks. You really could do this any month with hearts, flowers, snowflakes, snowmen, etc.
I have complied a list of ideas to put on your hearts that are great for kids. Here are some ideas to get your started, or use what works for your kid. I am sure you can come up with more that are specific for each child.
