Hodge Podge

Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. We have made it halfway through the week. I had one sick kid all weekend and on Monday, then a different sick kid on Tuesday. Fingers crossed  Today I am linking up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for Wednesday Hodge podge.

1. Did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in some way? If so tell us how. Are you a fan of corned beef? Cabbage? The color green?

Usually we make, or go somewhere to get corned beef usually family members house. I am not a fan of corned beef and can't stand the smell of cooked cabbage. In 2022 I cooked corned beef and cabbage because I had no smell from previously having the Ick. (I have some of my smell back but not 100%). This year Brian grabbed a corned beef sandwich from a local restaurant. Depends on what day of the week St. Patrick's Day falls on, Ella will go to downtown Cleveland and watch the parade and all the festivities with her dad and her step mom's family.

I am all for a theme day of wearing green. Ella went to school with green hair, green clothes, and a shamrock on her face. Anna dressed in pigtails and an adorable green dress. Austin had green with a Star Wars Baby Yoda t-shirt. I worked out in the only green shirt I have, and wore a shirt that had green the rest of the day.

2. March 22nd is National Goof Off Day...will you celebrate? Your favorite way to goof off? Last time you had a whole day to spend 'goofing off'?

I didn't know there was a National Goof Off Day. Not surprised though they make a day for everything and anything anymore. Favorite way to goof off, hmm good question. Just being myself around my girlfriends I can be a goof but I wouldn't say that I do anything specific to goof off.

3. Something on your to-do list that has been there more than a month? Will this be the month you finally cross it off?

I have a few items on my to do list to make to add to my etsy shop. 2 items are physical products and a few printables. I would love for them to get done, but I honestly don't see that happening right now.

4. In your opinion, what emotion is the most beneficial? Which one is the least useful?

Happiness is so beneficial. When you are happy you are in a better mood, and you attract and put forth happiness on others. Anger can be the least useful, when you are angry you can say and do things you don't mean.

5. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Elaborate.

I loved summer and being outside. From playing in the sandbox, riding my bike, swimming, hanging out with friends. I have the best memories from just being a kid each summer.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I am so excited for the new version of 21 Day Fix workout program to be released next month. I loved the original program. I can't wait with new moves. It is 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. All you need are weights.

I am opening up 21 spots for 21 ladies to do this new workout with me. I would love for you to join along. If you are interested and want more details fill out this form. Filling out the form does not lock you in, it just lets me know your interested and we can work together to get you started right.

  2. Playing outside with friends was a favorite childhood activity for me too. Seems like most of us Hodgepodgers enjoyed that! Have a great day!

  3. I almost said anger as least useful emotion but then I realized that sometimes I use it to feel better; I mean, anger at myself or my failings. So in that way, I turn it around.

  4. I forgot to mention swimming. We spent summers hanging out at our neighborhood swim club. We rode out bikes, got lunch from the snackbar there, and had so much fun with our friends there. Have a great week!

  6. I enjoyed your answers. I love corned beef and cabbage. This year I made Irish mashed potatoes with bacon and cabbage in them. They turned out really good. Your thoughts on the emotions were very true!
