Vacation 2023 Hotel Tour and Disney Springs

Hey loves. I am back today sharing more of our vacation. Last week I shared about our road trip adventure with three kids driving from Ohio to Florida. Today it is all about our hotel and day 3 with our first night at Disney.

We stayed at the Grand Villas again. We stayed here previously in 2021 and loved it and loved it again. Grand Villas is now a part of Hilton vacation club, previously it was a Diamond Resort. Every other year Brian has been getting a one week vacation through his work that we were able to use through RCI vacations and that is how we have been able to stay here. We get a two bedroom suite that is perfect for our family of 5 with 3 kids and space to play and spread out.

The front entry way with a coat closet that has a vacuum and broom.

Dining room table that seats 6 plus a full kitchen and bar with two more seats.

Living room with tv and DVD player. Sleeper sofa.

Kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee pot, and blender.

Full size stove and oven with microwave, fridge and freezer and toaster.

This pantry is bigger than my pantry at home.

Kids room with two twin beds and a tv.

Master bedroom with a king size bed.

Master bathroom with a separate shower and toilet.

Big bath tub that you have to use at least once. I always seem to have little people join me though.

Main bathroom

A washer and dryer in the room. This has been the best to come home with clean clothes, or when the kids get sick and need to wash clothes.

Day 2

We checked into our hotel, unpacked, relaxed some and headed to Aldi for our Instacart pick up order and to Publix for a few other odds and ends. We knew we wanted foods for breakfast, some beer, water and ice so we wouldn't be tempted to drink the Florida water and get sick again. (Last time we were here I got sick)

We grabbed some freezer pizza's for dinner and headed back to the hotel for what was suppose to be a pool night. Unfortunately it was storming and the pools were closed. Anna fell asleep around 9pm. Then it stopped storming so Brian took Ella and Austin swimming for a little bit.

Day 3

After breakfast we left the hotel for a little bit to drive around and go alligator hunting. Brian found a nature walk that we decided to check out. Along the trail we found rose petals.

We may not have found any alligators but we found were we assume someone got proposed to.

Then it was back to the hotel for more swimming. The hotel has two pools. The turtle pool is bigger and has a shallower and deeper areas than the whale pool. The whale pool was outside our window. We brought Anna and Austin their life vests too.

In the shallower area Austin is able to touch.

After swimming for a little bit we came back to our room for lunch and what turned into naps.

This is the boy who I am not tired.

While they were napping I did a quick 20 minute workout. Brian took Ella to play mini gulf which is also included at the hotel.

Then it was some more swimming and dinner at the hotel. We bought some frozen orange chicken and steamable veggies. The kids ate it too.

Disney World!!!! It was Saturday night and we were going to Disney Spring, which is there outdoor shopping mall. We knew it was going to be busy. instead of parking in their parking garage Brian decided to stop buy one of the resorts that is connected to Disney via a boat (or bus). We went to Port Orleans French Quarter.

We get there and it starts to storm in the distance. We walk to the boats and find out they are not running because the river is low. So we hopped on a bus to Disney Spring. Anna was so excited for her first time riding a bus. It was packed with Ella and Austin sharing a seat and Anna in my lap. Brian stood by the door holding our huge folded up stroller. (We rented a Bob double stroller from Kingdom stroller. This is our 4th time using them with no issues)

We did some window shopping and got ideas for what we may want to buy.

Anna and Austin also rode the merry go round with Brian.

We took a bus back to Port Orleans French Quarter to get to our car and had to stop and grab some Beignets and ice cream first. We ended the night back at the hotel to get some sleep before our first day at a Disney Park. Next week I will be recapping Hollywood Studios.
