Whats up Wednesday July Edition

Hey loves. Happy What's Up Wednesday. How is it already the last Wednesday of the month. I hate to say we are counting down the days until school starts again. 28 days left of summer. It is coming way to quick. I am excited that we have no huge plans the rest of summer that we can have lots of fun and plan dates, playgrounds, and swimming.

It's that time for Whats Up Wednesday with Shay, and Sheaffer. On the last Wednesday of every month we are all invited to share a little bit everything that has been going on for the past month.

On the last week of July here's whats up...

~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~

Austin's baseball season has come to an end. It was a fun season and towards the end he really enjoyed it and was asking for more games. This picture is from his first year playing t-ball. He has played 3 seasons of baseball already.

Can we go back to Disney again soon?

~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~

We signed up for a half season of CSA local organic produce (we get every other week). Loving the variety of veggies we are getting and farm free eggs.

We planted two pots on the front porch, one with tomatoes and one with sweet peppers. They both have been growing really well. The tomatoes got eaten by the deer but they haven't touched the peppers. We are also doing a shared garden with our neighbor who has a fenced in backyard and have gotten lots of lettuce and starting to get zucchini and cucumbers.

For my birthday my mother in law got me this wine glass "I Wine Because I'm Not At Disney" it has gotten a lot of use.

I am excited for all thinks pumpkin spice. I found cereal and had to have it.

An attempt at a family photo. It wasn't planned to all wear blue.

~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~

We celebrated Brian's dad's life with all his siblings and more family and friends. Here is a picture of the siblings with spouses who were able to attend.

We went to a parade on the 4th of July. The parade was an hour and a half long.

We also went and watched fireworks. Both Anna and Austin feel asleep during the fireworks. Only my kids can sleep through the big booms.

We are on pool number 3 for the backyard this year. This blue one was from last year and the bottom tube had a hole. The second one Ella dragged across the ground and put a whole in it. The third one is smaller than the first two. I see a 4th one coming soon. Maybe next year we will get a more permanent pool.

Austin finished his season of baseball.

My kids love going and watching the airplanes take off and land.

A couple of times the deer have gotten pretty close to the house. Anna and this baby had a staring contest.

We celebrated Anna turning 4. She requested an Elsa cake.

Austin turned 8 and wanted a John Deer cake. We got the toys at Walmart and the cake was from Costco. It came with candles on it but I scrapped it off.

Both kids got new bikes for their birthday.

I am back to all things sourdough.

Ella went to a stem camp where she got to use power tools and had fun making things.

I am back into a good workout routine. A new program that I am enjoying and is only 4 days a week. It is out of my comfort zone but I am pushing through.

There have been lots of bike rides. It took Anna 5 days to learn to ride a bike (really only 3 with trying) now you can't get her to stop.

Anna and Austin had another sleepover at Grandma's.

Brian and I finally got to celebrate my birthday.

Ella has been picking out all kinds of random hairstyles. She even stole my moms hair curlers that were from when my mom went to cosmetology school in high school.

~ WHAT I AM DREADING ~

Back to school and new schedules and routines. It is always a struggle getting the kids back to earlier bedtimes and wake up time for school.

~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~

We have 27 days until school starts. I have some fun adventures and activities planed with my kids

~ WHAT I AM WATCHING ~

Sweet Magnolias on Netflix

I DVR a bunch of Christmas in July movies from Hallmark and GAC, I haven't watched any yet.

~ WHAT I AM READING ~

We have Sirius radio in both our vehicles. I am loving the variety of mix on Carrie's Corner.

~ WHAT I AM WEARING ~

I have not bought anything new recently to wear. The dress I wore for my birthday dinner is at least 8 years old if not more.

~ FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH ~

I bought Ella this purse on prime day (it is still on sale). She wears it everywhere with her to be able to carry her phone and whatever she needs.

~ WHAT WE ARE DOING THIS WEEKEND ~

I am excited to say the only thing on our schedule for this weekend is our CSA produce pick up. I am hoping for a nice relaxing weekend at home. Maybe some playdates and drinks with the neighbors.

~ WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH ~

Even with summer coming to an end sooner than later I am excited for the last bit of adventure we have planned for next month. A few more trips to Cedar Point, some play dates, new parks, and

Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,

  1. That's so cool that the deer come up to your house like that. And that purse you got off of Amazon for your daughter is so cute. I agree with the dreading of back to school - so much energy and effort it takes when all you wanna do is just enjoy the summer. Have a good month!! - Morgan @ mommyaboveall.com

  2. If it makes you feel better my boys used to sleep through fireworks too! I was able to vacuum under my oldest son's crib when he was a baby. I don't think any of them are sound sleepers anymore. I'm pretty much always up for a trip to Disney but my family does not feel the same way!
