~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~

First trip to Disney was 9 years ago just Brian and I. It was one of my favorite trips to Disney. We did so much and and saw everything for the first time. We need another vacation without kids or just a weekend away. (ignore the years ago on the top)

I am officially going to have a preteen next week. How is Aubriella going to be 12 (going on 20). (ignore years on top)

~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~

These pumpkin yogurts are one of my go to snacks. low sugar and high protein. I also top with pumpkin seeds for a little crunch.

It's mum season. We went to the store looking for something else, Anna had to stop multiple times to smell the flowers.

It's cauldron coffee season. Every morning before school the kids usually play outside for 2- 15 minutes depending on the day. I relax for a few and enjoy my coffee.

I have been trying new wellness products with natural safer ingredients, that are also American made. So far my toilet has never stayed clean this long, my bathtub is no longer stained (Brian even noticed I cleaned the bathroom) , bug spray that doesn't stink, new makeup and healthy snacks that my kids stole from me.

My new favorite candle from Kirklands, Pumpkin Spice and Cream.

~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~

Date night that included a winery and seeing the Cleveland Orchestra play Disney in Concert the Sound of Magic. I got tickets for my birthday (which was back in June).

Brian and I have been to two winery's this month. Once just us, the second time with our neighbors and our kids. My favorite on a hot day was a sparking rose, my normal go to is a Riesling, and my new favorite is a wild berry cabernet.

Anna started her last year of pre-k. This year has been a struggle with her wanting to go to school. Her class is in the afternoon, compared to in the morning last year, and her best friend isn't in her class.

Ella went to a 2 night camp with her school. It was all adventures and outside. She did zip lining, rope courses, canoeing and more. She had so much fun and wished they did it every year. Her only complaint was the food.

Austin and Anna had their annual dentist appointment. They both did very well. Anna got pictures taken too. Austin did struggle a little with them spraying in his mouth and gagging, which is normal for him.

There has been lots of yard work going on. We have torn out one flower bed. We are still working on removing roots and huge rocks. Then we will be making the flower bed a lot smaller and more our tastes. Austin even got into helping and using the ax.

This is part of a root that we ripped out. They cut off part of it and then hooked it to a tow strap and the back of the truck.

We went to Cedar Point of Halloween weekends. Those are all pumpkins. They had a long walkway that was filled with lots of pumpkins making a design.

I am still at making delicious sourdough bread. Now even my neighbors are requesting loafs.

~ WHAT I AM DREADING ~

Having a 12 year old. The attitude has already started and I know it is just going to get worse.

~ WHAT I AM WORKING ON ~

Nothing right now outside of my blog, house projects, and me. I have taken a step back from all other things that are not currently bringing me joy.

But also working on all the fun details for Ella's Taylor Swift themed birthday party aka Ella Swift.

~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~

So many activities in the next few weeks that I am helping out at the schools.

~ WHAT I AM WATCHING ~

~ WHAT I AM LISTENING TO ~

Ella is on a Taylor Swift kick, more like obsession. She gets in the car takes my phone and streams Taylor from my phone to the car. She is even having a Taylor themed birthday party and wants to be Taylor for Halloween. (we are still working on Halloween details)

~ WHAT I AM WEARING ~

I have not bought any new clothes in a while. I am still team yoga pants and tank top. I have thrown in a few sweatshirts with the weather getting chillier.

~ FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH ~

Yes a random purchase but very necessary purchase. 9 volt batteries for our smoke detectors. Disclaimer first we have two different types of smoke detectors throughout the house, half are hooked up to our security system, the other half are just regular ones that take 9 volt. We normally change batteries when it is day light saving time. Last spring I forgot. Last week we had a smoke detector beeping that we couldn't find. I finally found it under the dryer (it was taken down and set on the dry at one time but still worked). I bought a bunch of batteries to replace them all come November 5th when it is time for day light savings again. Side note we also change all the baking soda boxes in every fridge and freezer at that time too.

~ WHAT WE ARE DOING THIS WEEKEND ~

Celebrating Ella turning 12. She has a fun Taylor Swift themed birthday party planned with a sleepover for a few friends.

~ WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH ~

Fall festivals, Halloween fun, and going to my sister in laws farm down in Kentucky. We have only ever went in the summer months when it is hot, I am excited to see the change of the leaves.

  2. We change our smoke alarm batteries when we change our clocks too; but I really hate when we have one that is beeping slow and we walk around trying to find the culprit! I haven't tried the Pumpkin 2 good but I do love that brand.
