Christmas Eve Lasagna

Our family has the tradition of having lasagna for dinner on Christmas Eve. This is the recipe I used this year and it was loved by everyone, even the picky girl who doesn't eat anything.

Christmas Eve Lasagna

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • brick of Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 12 oz Ricotta cheese

  1. In a large pot cook noodles per direction on box
  2. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. In a large skillet brown ground beef and sausage
  4. Add in onion and garlic. Saute until onion is translucent.
  5. Add in seasoning.
  6. In a baking dish, spread bottom with a little sauce.
  7. Layer with noodles, meat mixture, Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat
  9. Top with noodles and Mozzarella cheese.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and continue baking for 10 minutes.
  12. Remove from oven and let sit for 15 minutes before cutting.
  13. Serve.
  14. Enjoy!!!
