 Instant Pot Whole Chicken


  • whole chicken 4 to 6 pounds
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp EVOO
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt/pepper


  1. Place trivet rack in bottom of Instant Pot. 
  2. Add chicken breast side up.
  3. Pour in chicken broth.
  4. In a small bowl mix, EVOO and seasoning. Using a brush, brush EVOO mixture on outside of chicken.
  5. Seal the Instant Pot. Cook on high pressure 6 minutes per pound and 15 minute natural release. 
  6. Let chicken rest an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve
  8. Enjoy
