Hey friends. We have made it halfway through the week. It is our first week in forever that my kids go 5 days. I am loving getting back to a routine and getting so much done. The weather has also been beautiful the last two days, today is suppose to be hot but raining and possible severe storms. Let's have some hodge podge fun. I linked up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for Wednesday Hodge podge.
1- What's a skill you think everyone should have?
Kindness and manners. Somewhere down the grapevine people have lost both.
2 - Do you have a special place or organizational system for gift wrapping? Do you still buy 'real' cards to send for birthdays, anniversaries, get-well, etc?
I hate real cards. They are so expensive if you are not buying them at the Dollar Store they can be around $8. Most people just thrown them away afterwards. If it is the kids going to a birthday party I will have them make a card.
We save gift bags and try to use them again but I have no system.
3 - It's National Banana Day...are you a fan? What's your favorite thing to make with bananas or, if you're not a cook, your favorite thing to eat that contains banana?
I have a frozen banana everyday in my afternoon shakes. I love making banana bread with chocolate chips.
4 - Do you believe in second chances? Elaborate.
Everyone makes mistakes so yes I believe in second chances.
5 - What is your idea of fun?
Disney World! A fun day would be doing something with my family, usually out of the house, maybe a playground, or Cedar Point.
6 - Insert your own random thought here.
I taught Kindergarten for several years and it's my favorite age. They are like little sponges at that age, and full of love of their teacher : ) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI don't even ride roller coasters and I had fun at Cedar Point! My husband grew up near there and we took the kids two summers ago. They loved it! I like that they have carnival rides for those of us too chicken for roller coasters.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the manners and second chances too. That is also so true about the greeting cards, although I did just buy a bunch of graduation cards!
ReplyDeleteIt would be Disneyland for me since I am about 30 minutes from there. Your little girl is cute. My granddaughter is names Audrina. We all need second chances!
ReplyDeleteI agree that cards are so expensive..I try to find cheaper ones and I get a discount at work.
ReplyDeleteYes, I wish more people had better manners, and I've also been dismayed at how expensive greeting cards are! Your little flower worker is adorable!
