Hey friends. How is your week going? Ours has been a good busy week so far. Checking items off our summer bucket list, and running around. Today I am linking up with Hodge Podge with Joyce over at .From This Side of the Pond.
1. The Olympics kick off this coming weekend. Will you be watching? If you could watch just one event in person, which one would you choose?
Yes I plan on watching as much as I can. We don't have cable anymore so it will be whatever I can stream or find local channels. Gymnastics have always been my favorite, even though I am not any way talented with ever doing a cartwheel.
2. Have you ever been to Paris? Is this a city you'd like to visit? What's your favorite 'French thing'?
I have never been to Paris, but would love to go one day.
3. Macaron, creme brulee, chocolate soufle, mille feuille, or an eclair...your favorite French patisserie from the ones listed?
All of the above, but if I had to pick one an eclair.
4. July 24th is National Cousins Day...do you have many cousins? Are you close to them? Will you see any of your cousins on July 24th?
I have/had 4 cousins. It is sad to say one has passed and the other 3 I barely talk to. Our lives have gone separate directions, we don't see each other for the holidays, etc. I have a second cousin who I talk to regularly but don't hang out.
5. Last time you went somewhere that felt like 'everyone and his cousin' was there?
Last week we went to Cedar Point on Thursday, the temp was in the lower 70s with a nice breeze. The park was busy that rides that normally had a 10 minute wait had over
6. Insert your own random thought here.
My kids have 5 weeks left of summer. The halfway sounds like a lot, the other half is OMG we only have 5 weeks and there is so much I still want to do. We spend Monday going on a random adventure crossing items off our summer bucket list and spending time out of the house. How is your summer going?
Five weeks is still a lot of summer. So many are already heading back to school which feels so early to me. School starts here August 1st so on weekdays the lake is so still and so quiet. My favorite! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWe took the kids to Cedar Point two summers ago and it was - to me - cold the day we went! It was late June and 54 in the AM. For a Floridian, that's freezing. The kids loved the park though.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers. I grew up in Northern Ohio (well till 4th grade), but I know we took many trips to Cedar Point. When I go visit my aunts and uncle and we are on Kelley's Island, we see the park from the shore. I haven't gone again though since I was little.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness only 5 weeks? Gee when I was a kid, we went back the week after Labor Day. Same with my boys. I like that better.
ReplyDeleteWow, 5 weeks left before school starts, they have a much longer summer than our kids here. Ours will be back in school on Aug 5th. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day to go to Cedar Point! It's such a summer activity, but I hate going when it's 100 degrees in the shade. Hope you're having a great week!
