What Brought Me Joy In September

Hey friends!!! It is the end of September and I am still in denial that October is on Tuesday. I have to keep remind myself that it is coming quick. My oldest also turns 13 on Wednesday and I am truly in denial that she is going to be a teenager, even though she has had the attitude of it for a while. I didn't get to share this post earlier in the week so what better time than on a Saturday. Time to look back at what brought me joy in September.

Memories

Anna so excited for school at the beginning and letting me do her hair. Now she is Miss Independent and wants to just wear her hair down and brush it herself.

I am loving that our schools teachers, well at least the younger two teachers send home pictures and updates.

I have so grateful to have the opportunity to volunteer at the kids school. I go for 25 minutes every Tuesday and help out in Anna's class room with a group of kids (that doesn't include her). I helped at Ella's book fair. I helped at Anna's fundraiser (I tried to do Austin's but his filled up so quickly)

Anna is doing soccer again, this time Brian is not her coach, just our neighbor.

She is the one that wanted to do soccer again. But it is not going well. We have had 3 practices and 1 game and half the time she is like this doing yoga or laying down, or walking. She unfortunately learned the hard way to say off the ground when the ball is in play because she got kicked in the face. Thankfully she was ok.

Gigi's birthday party with a pinata and water slide fun.

Anna is back to dancing every Sunday at church and making everyone smile.

We got to spend a long weekend down at Brian's sisters farm in Kentucky. We went to a fall festival and pumpkin patch.

30 minutes after putting the kids to bed we had tornado warnings that were headed towards us so I took the kids downstairs. No that didn't bring me joy.

But Ella comforting them with Home Alone 2 and they were very calm with lots of questions. i was afraid they would freak out after the last tornado that hit and trees fell next to the house.

Spirit week. Anna didn't want to do backwards day or our school colors day. instead of a hat or crazy hair she opted for Minnie Mouse Ears. Austin has done it all.

Games and Fun

Ella spent a good 12 hours building this Lego set.

The Little Mermaid. It is now in my glass cabinet in my office

She then did Groot He took no where near as long.

While at the farm we played a fun card game of Pit. It was easy, quick, and fun.
