Let's Look

Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. As I am writing this on Tuesday, fingers crossed all 3 kids will be back to school tomorrow. I have had one child home everyday for the past 3 weeks. Between stomach bugs and the flu I am over sick season. Is your house staying healthy?

I am linking up today with Erika and Shay for this month's Let Look

This months topic is How You Work on Your Marriage

Here is my disclaimer- I am not married. Brian and I have been together for 12 years and have two kids together. I was previously married. From my divorce I learned a lot about relationships and like any relationship there are ups and downs.

Every relationship is different, every one's priorities are different, every one's love language is different. What works for one couple may not work for another.

Important Aspects of our relationship:
  • communication
  • date nights once a month
  • kind words
  • appreciation
  • family is number 1 priority
  • touch/intimacy
  • eat dinner and breakfast together and talk
  • support each other
Every February I read Love Unending: Rediscovering your marriage in the midst of motherhood.  I love the quick daily reads and prompts to help you remember why you feel in love in the first place.
I am also reading Praying for Your Husband from Head to Toe that was suggested in a women's devotional group.

How do you work on your marriage? How long have you been married (Or in a committed relationship)
