Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. We are over here enjoying Spring break with warmer weather and lots of sunshine. I linking up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for Wednesday Hodge Podge.
1. The Hodgepodge lands on National Picnic Day...will you celebrate? Do you enjoy picnics? Dining out of doors picnic or otherwise? What are three or four things I'd find in your picnic basket?
Having a picnic sounds like so much fun, but we are not doing one today. Weather permitting we try to eat outside as much as possible. I don't know that last time we packed a picnic and sat on a blanket in the grass and ate. When we travel via car we will pack a cooler with picnic food and have on our drive and eat at a rest stop with picnic tables. Last week I took the kids to the playground and we had McDonalds at a picnic table.
In my picnic basket you would chips, a fruit, and lots of napkins.
2. A time recently where you felt 'antsy'?
Gosh honestly everyday. I get antsy sitting still for to long, I impatient with my kids way too much.
3. As the saying goes...'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.' Do you like lemonade? When did you recently need to make lemonade out of lemons, figuratively speaking?
I enjoy a good lemonade with lots of sugar from festival or fair. I prefer water with a lemon just for some added flavor.
I feel like every day of motherhood I am making lemonade out of lemons in one way or anyother.
5. Favorite thing about the 'space' you're sitting in right now?
Right now as I currently type this on Tuesday evening, I am walking on my walking pad. I can see birds and green grass that needs cut out the front window, I am being productive while getting my 10,000 steps for the day.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Now that I am working out of the house 3 days a week (which is very flexible), I feel like I spent more quality time with my kids since I am not with them 24/7 and I get more done around the house because I can't be lazy all day and say I will do it in a little bit or tomorrow. Any other moms feel the same way after they went back to work after being a stay at home mom for so long?
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
I do love a picnic as long as the bugs stay away.
ReplyDeletehahaha! That is so true about making lemonade out of lemons when it comes to motherhood.
I felt like when I worked my days were more regimented and with less free space you do what you need to do in the time allotted. Now that I'm retired with so much unstructured time I find I need to add some structure or I'll be truly lazy. Motherhood is a lot of making lemonade out of lemons. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteNice to visit you today!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, napkins would be a must too in the picnic basket.
Water with lemon is my favorite. I like to get one at the local Chick fil A.
So very true about so much of motherhood being making lemonade out of lemons! All those little pivots and change of plans.
