Summer Break Week 1

Hey loves. We are finally on summer break. Our last day of school was so late this year, my kids went until June 11th, compared to most other schools that got out a week earlier. Each week I am going to recap what we have been up to.

Thursday June 12

The start of summer means the start of all the sleepover, even though Brian said they can't do this every night (spoiler it's been over a week of sleepovers).

Ella was with her dad Wednesday night so I had to pick her up at 8am and grabbed her friend at 830. I have to say I am not a fan of traffic at 8am compared to 6am. Then I was off to work by 9. I had a staff meeting at 10 and was out of there by 12. Ella was an awesome babysitter and had the kids fed by the time I got home. I grabbed lunch then we loaded up the car, picked up Brian from work and headed to ...

Cedar Point- first ride of the day was the Merry go round.

It was planned to pout

We had a fun day. The older girls got to ride a few rides. It was Ella's friend's first time riding roller coasters. The park was pretty busy, all the bigger rides had waits over 45 minutes.

Friday June 13

Mama deer and her twins. I love seeing them in the little woods next to our house.

I spent the morning getting stuff done around the house, prepping for hosting a Father's Day cookout, and going through all the school stuff my kids came home with. I eventually also went grocery shopping. I had to go to Walmart and Aldi, and spent way too much money.

A normal weekend evening spent at the neighbors and all the kids playing. We had pizza for dinner, the girls has a little movie break to watch Wicked and eat popcorn.

Saturday June 14

Another sleepover. It was supposed to be a busy morning with t-ball. Instead it turned into a very wet morning with all plans cancelled. I ended up spending the morning in the kitchen getting some things done that I have been wanting to get done but haven't had the time.

cold foam for iced coffee

chocolate syrup for iced coffee and chocolate milk

restocked the freezer with protein waffles

protein monster bites

granola

These two cuties decided they wanted to play in the rain, in their pajamas.

Even though all baseball was cancelled, soccer does not get canceled for rain. My girlfriend asked if I would watch two of her kids so they didn't have to go watch their sibling play soccer in the rain. I had no problem giving my kids playmates.

After they left, I rubbed scrubbed all the rugs on the main floor. I have tried to do it previously in the week but the rug scrubber we had was old and broken. I ordered a new one from Amazon earlier in the week. It worked great.

The rain finally cleared. After I finished carpets we headed to our neighbors house for the kids to run around outside and to make a surprise gift for the dads for Father's Day.

We ended a late night at Cedar Point with one set of neighbors. The girls rode a bunch of kids rides, while the boys rode a few bigger rides. We ended up not getting home until 11pm. We were all exhausted.

Sunday June 15

After a late night it was a rough start to the morning but we made it to church, we also had showers before hand. Anna had a blast dancing and three new people came up to us saying how much they love her dancing.

We spent the rest of the afternoon prepping to host a Father's Day cookout for about 20 people.

We celebrated this guy. He is an amazing father to all my kids. Who makes family a priority and would give his shirt off his back to anyone.

My niece came too and she actually smiled for a picture.

Happy Father's Day to my dad.
