Hey loves. June is flying by. We are over here in summer mode finally. This is our first week with no big plans, (last week we had vacation Bible School). We are working on new schedules. We already came up with our Summer Bucket List. I normally make monthly goals, instead I am trying a season goal.
Why am I doing summer goals instead of just monthly? This is the first summer that I am working in over 9 years. My job is very flexible, I can do most of it from home but there are times I need to go into the office. I am also adjusting to new schedules and want to have a laid back summer, without unlimited tablet time or hearing I'm bored all the time. I also have some projects I would like to get done.
Summer Goals 2025
- Morning Routine
- get back into a morning routine with fresh air, morning devotional, Bible reading, gratitude, and workout.
- Go for a walk 2 morning a week before anyone wakes up
- Health
- drink at least 80 oz of water, more on hot days
- get 10,000 steps- 5 days a week
- track food using the Faster Way app
- sunscreen, lotion, wash face, mois
- Family
- date night two a month with Brian
- one on one dates with each child
- House
- Declutter the basement
- Enjoy/Love
- Embrace the shorts and wear the bathing suit
- Dessert and drinks in moderation
- Post on Social media atleast 5x a week
- make all the memories
I hate the saying we only get 18 summers with our kids, but it is the harsh reality. I don't want to waste summer inside on tablets, doing big projects, to much time at work, etc. I want to enjoy my kids and do all the things with them.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
It really isn't or at least it doesn't have to be. My boys are 21, 19, and 17 and they're still home for the summer and still go on vacation with us (they aren't home every day of course but really by teen years they aren't anyway). I realize those years may be ending but I've made it known that they keep on traveling with us and hanging out here whenever they want. Good luck with your goals!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, every couple of years I still go on vacation with my parents.
