~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~

Ella on the first day of Kindergarten, how is she a freshman already?

Austin on his first day of Kindergarten, he is in 5th grade at the Intermediate school where he now has 9 classes, plays an instrument, and has a locker. His bus also comes an hour earlier than last year going to a new campus.

Anna is in 2nd grade, I wonder how much she has grown since her first day of Kindergarten.

~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~

It is witches brew season. We grabbed some a few weeks ago when I first saw them out. Now you go to the store and no one has any.

Brian planted more perennials in our yard. They are in their peak of blooming and making the most colorful gorgeous bouquets.

Ella has been very crafty lately. She made a Halloween brick.

Pumpkin season is officially here. Last week I got a pumpkin mocha latte from Dunkin. Yesterday I got a pumpkin cream shaken espresso. Both were delicious.

~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~

We started off the month with one last weekend away for the summer. First was the Columbus zoo. Then we went to Kings Island for the first time. My kids are already asking when we can go back.

Brian and I along with our neighbors went to Twilight at the Zoo charity event for the animals.

Fall ball is back in full swing, no pun intended. Fall back is more laid back with just games, no practices, learning, practice, and trying new positions. This makes the games very long and not eventful. We have games most Tuesdays and Saturdays that switch to Sundays soon.

Family night at the Lake Erie Crushers minor league baseball game. It was Star Wars night with characters and fireworks.

Freshman orientation. It is a big school with lots of walking but these two are doing great.

Pizza out with our friends. We never let our kids have electronics at dinner, let alone out to dinner. It was a nice treat to be able to enjoy dinner, relax, and have a conversation without being asked can we go home a million times.

Back to School Westfest was fun activities for kids of all ages plus a performance by the band.

Keeping up with my morning routine.
  • alarm at 5am
  • dressed
  • make preworkout
  • morning devotional, Bible study, and reading while I drink my preworkout
  • downstairs by 545 to workout
  • upstairs by 615/630 to start school routines

First football game of the season was a "green out" and an away game. Ella had fun.

I took Anna to get her ears pierced. She was so excited, did so good, and loved it.

Ella also got her helix pierced.

I have turned into that mom that drives Ella to school in slippers. It is just a drop off I don't get out of the car.

~ WHAT I AM DREADING ~

When homework starts. I know it is coming and I am sure especially with high school the amount will be crazy.

~ WHAT I AM WORKING ON ~

Getting the house cleaned and back in order. It was a rough summer on many levels and a lot got put off. Time to clean, organize, and purge the whole house.

~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~

Brian planned an adult trip this November. We are going to Disney World (yes again and yes without kids) and going to the Christmas party. I can't wait.

~ WHAT I AM WATCHING ~

I binged Ransom Canyon when it came out.

Now I am slowly watching My Life with the Walter Boys

~ WHAT I AM READING ~

~ FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH ~

I was in desperate need of new measuring cups and spoons. We had some missing and half the handles were broken off the cups. I am loving these spoons are magnetic and stick together to stay organized.

~ FAVORITE MOMENT ~

The memories and fun that we had at Kings Island. It may have rained and stormed but we made the best of it.

~ SOMETHING FUN ~

We have started homecoming dress shopping. Ella has a specific dress design and color in mind. This has been easier said than done to find. It has been fun taking her shopping with one on one time and having her try on dresses. (We did find one online that is close to $150, I don't know if I am ready to spend that on a homecoming dress)

~ WHAT WE ARE DOING THIS WEEKEND ~

Anna is doing a cheerleading camp with at the high school with the cheerleaders, some of which are Ella's friends. Friday night Anna gets to cheer with the high school cheerleaders at the game. We are going as a family to the game and excited to watch Anna cheer.
