Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

Gimme, gimme, gimme, all the foods I know I don't need to be eating. How come every time you start something new you crave the foods you are not supposed to have, and don't need. Food is meant to be FUEL for your body, not comfort or boredom.
I am not a big potato chip muncher, but last week I really wanted them. I however didn't eat any, partially because we didn't have any in the house. I limit the snacks in the house for the kids so I am not tempted to eat it either.

Last week was week 1 of my new workout program and Beta test for my health. I completed 5 days of workouts. The workouts use weights at a slow speed so it isn't counting as steps and not always being tracked on my Fitbit as a workout. I know I got it one, plus have the sweaty selfies to prove it but is aggravating when your tracker doesn't track it.

So far I am really liking this program. It is a great mix up from doing intense cardio all the time, that had been doing previously. I have been feeling the difference in my muscles in my arms, shoulders and butt.

Along with the Beta test of my nutrition to see what works for me and what doesn't. I have been tracking all my food and see how I feel afterwards. I notice a difference when I eat processed food I get horrible stomach pains. Such as jelly, certain chocolate (my weakness), pizza (had leftovers from the week before to eat). This week I am really focusing on staying away from processed food and upping my water intake.

Results from week 1 are in. I have to say I started at my heaviest I have been in a while. I know all of what I have lost is water weight, but it is a start of progress and knowing I am making changes. I am down 3.6 lbs and 3 inches.
Now I have to admit I am human. I have cake 1 day, cupcake another day, and went out for Cinco De Mayo. But I am still seeing results and I didn't let that one cheat meal 3 different days effect the rest of my day.

Got my grocery shopping done for this week on Saturday. Aldi's was crazy, but I was by myself so it wasn'tto bad. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and stuff for the kids and Brian. (Brian can't live without bread or chips) Ella and Austin get there treat of a lunchable if they behave. I have learned to do grocery shopping for a family of 4 on a budget around $60 a week.
