Friday Favorites

Hey friends. Happy Friday. Another week in the books. It was a short week for school, and not much plans so I got to relax. I don't think we have much planned for this weekend but to hopefully finish the carpet in the basement and start getting it back in order, but all that could change.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these three lovely ladies: ErikaNarci, and Andrea.

~ ONE ~

My kids have decided to switch sides of the table. I use to sit next to Ella and Austin was next to Brian. Now I get all of Austin's to join in Austin's eating fun, including taking towers out of bananas. And yes we had packi's for breakfast on a random Tuesday. This is what happens when pregnant Adrienne goes grocery shopping, I buy the garbage we normally don't have.

~ TWO ~

Austin is all packed and ready to go to Memaw's for a little play date while I have a doctors appointment. You would think he is moving out or staying the night with his suitcase.

You didn't think that a three year old boy would pack clothes did you? Nope he took all his hot wheel cars, some train tracks, a few trains, and a little tracker. He has his priorities. Thankfully he didn't dump everything out at Memaw's just the train track.

~ THREE ~

Someone is full of sass and her own style sense. She can stop growing up.

~ FOUR ~

We bought a new water filtration, air purification system that also works as a vacuum. If you want your kids to clean just buy a new vacuum for them to use. I have to add my kids have been fighting over who get to use it, they both want to vacuum all the time and it is a little aggravating.

Does anyone else how a Hyla?

~ FIVE ~

The other night Ella and I watched the Kids Baking Championship on the Food Network. They were making volcano monkey bread. Since then I have been craving monkey bread. Ella asked to do a food competition, but she only wanted to be the judge and taste test the food. I started making the monkey bread than she wanted to help (Win for me).

It turned out delicious. We did banana walnut monkey bread because I can't do anything simple. We had a few mis-steps along the way, but it still was delicious for breakfast this morning. The recipe stated 30-35 minutes, ours took more like 50 minutes. When I flipped it over the first time I spilled most of the gooey butter brown sugar sauce all over the stove. How do the kids on these baking shows know what to do, and do it better than me?

Hope you have a great weekend. I am also linking up with Whitney for High 5 for Friday

  1. Love your kitchen helper! Those cooking shows often get my boys into the kitchen and I just love it.
