Halloween is right around the corner. We are over here picking out costumes, and planning all the fun. The fall festivals and trunk or treats have already started too. No one wants to start off the Holiday season with an accident. Today I am sharing some Halloween safety tips that have been on my mind.
Costume Planning
- encourage kids to wear make-up instead of masks
- avoid costumes that touch the ground
- add reflective tape, bright colors, glow sticks, etc to be able to be seen at night
Treak or Treating / Trunt or Treating
- Kids should Always go with an adult
- Older kids should predetermine route and time to be home
- Only go to houses with the porch light on
- Pay attention while crossing the street, just because you see them doesn't mean they see you
- carry a flashlight
- Examine all candy before eating
- Never trick or treat alone
- Never enter anyones home
Carving Pumpkins
- Paint, markers, glitter glue, and/or stickers are safer for little kids.
- pumpkin carving kids are safer than kitchen knives
- Battery operated lights are easier and last a long time
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
