Hey loves. Happy November. We went from Halloween to Christmas well really just snow overnight on Wednesday morning. This weekend is suppose to be nice in the 50s, hoping to take down outside Halloween decorations and put up outside Christmas decorations, but Brian said we can't turn them on yet. Are you doing anything fun this weekend?

Ella won an award at school for the quarter. They had a surprise assembly and parents for the 15 students that won the award got to surprise their child by coming to the school for the assembly and a mini reception afterwards. The award wad nominated by a teacher and was for responsibility.

We spent last weekend down in Kentucky at Brian's sisters farm. It had breathtaking views of the changing leaves in the mountains, so relaxing, and quiet.
They also have cows, chickens, pigs and piglets, and turkeys. You can read all about our little getaway HERE.

One of my favorite Halloween traditions is carving pumpkins. We had a crazy schedule that we didn't get to carve them until Monday night (Halloween was Tuesday) Since we were on limited time I told the kids we were just doing simple jack o lanterns instead of hard designs that take time. They agreed. Anna even got in on it. I don't know who/how she got a pumpkin knife but she did awesome with it.
Austin's, Ella's, and Anna's. I helped Anna and Brian helped Austin a little.

It is officially winter coat and hat season. I am thankful for the local buy nothing group on facebook. A lady was giving away a coat her son grew out of. I also gave away Austin's old coat that he no longer fit in.

We got snow and Anna asked to go out and play in it. She lasted about 30 minutes playing in the snow, making snow angels, and wiping the snow off the furniture.

Congrats to Ella on her award - that's awesome! We didn't carve pumpkins this year but I missed doing it so definitely next year. Boo to winter coats and hats, but I hear you - we had to break out ours as well. Sorta was hoping winter would stay back just a little while longer. Happy Friday & have a great weekend!
