Hello Monday on a Tuesday

Hey loves. Happy Tuesday. It was a long weekend. My kids only had school on Monday last week. Then we hosted Thanksgiving, a North Pole breakfast, a back flair up, a birthday party, and more. I am still trying to catch up on everything.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday.

Thursday - Thanksgiving

They may be cute and didn't come in the room to wake us up when they woke up before 6am. Love that they decided to wake up so early, earlier than they do on a normal school week.

We had a slow morning. Breakfast was sourdough cranberry orange muffins. We watched the parade while getting the last of the cleaning done around the house and prepping to host Thanksgiivng.

This little girl couldn't hang long enough to see Santa Claus in the parade. She took a much needed nap.

After the parade I got a quick 23 minute workout in. Then showered and got ready. I left at 140 to pick up Ella from her dads. I got back at 225 and family had started to arrive.

Turkey was done and ready to be cut a little after 4.

Dinner is served:
  • turkey
  • sweet potato casserole
  • twice baked mash potatoes
  • green beans
  • corn
  • broccoli casserole
  • gravy
  • stuffing
  • mac and cheese

  • cranberry sauce,
  • sourdough Hawaiian rolls
  • sourdough Artisan bread
  • homemade butter
  • homemade cinnamon butter

We didn't get a family picture, but I got one of me and Ella in front of the fireplace.

Everyone had gone home by 730. My kids were in bed by 9. Brian and I headed to our neighbors for a decompressing drink. Ella stayed home with the sleeping younger kids.

While we were away Ella started prepping for the North Pole breakfast. She wanted to make sure that Anna and Austin didn't sneak downstairs.

Friday- North Pole Breakfast

North Pole Breakfast. Gusgus our Elf on the Shelf arrived.

Notice the gift on the right side. Gusgus brought a present aka a friend.

Introducing Snowflake.

They had snowman donuts, warm cocoa and cookies.

Ella and I went on a little black Friday adventure.

Two Targets later we found the new Taylor Swift vinyl. She bought it with her own money and didn't want to put it on her Christmas list knowing that it was going to sell out.

After shopping we went home and Brian had breakfast number 2 ready. Pancakes and bacon.

Then we put away all the fall decorations, rearranged the house and got all the Christmas decorations out of the attic. While getting the decorations boxes out my back started hurting. Since then (and still currently as I am writing this) I have been in pain and doing very little.

Brian and Austin decorated the tree in the living room. Ella helped with other decorations around the house and playing with Anna while I rested.

We had pizza for dinner and the neighbors came over to hang out. We were supposed to go to a winery with them earlier in the day but had to cancel with my back.

Saturday-

Day 2 of Gusgus and Snowflake

We had a slow morning then headed to a birthday party at Main Event. The moms took care of the kids while the dad's watched the Ohio State Football game.

The party consisted of pizza, cake, drinks, and ice cream for the kids. Then laser tag if you were over 48 inches, which only 3 kids plus Ella were tall enough. Then 3 hours of unlimited game play, you just don't win tickets. 3 hours is a long time.

Anna's favorite thing was the hurricane simulator, which really is just a fan. She did it at least 10 times.

The kids played ski ball a lot. Austin ran off with his friend pretty much the whole time.

Anna was so excited when she won racing. Someone else had to use the petals because she wasn't tall enough.
We got home around 530. I had a snack then relaxed the rest of the evening.

Sunday-

The Grinch broke into our house, went pee and stole a piece of chocolate before Gusgus and Snowflake were able to scare him away.

Anna is now obsessed with the Grinch. She keeps asking about him, how he broke in the house, how big he is, why he is mean....

The first week of advent at church and Anna dancing aka fighting the Grinch.

After church we went to my parents house and got their Christmas decorations out of their attic. Then I came home and rested and took a nap. (when I am in pain with my back I sleep a lot more just dealing with the pain. I know if I take to much meds then I will overdo it and be n more pain later. )

It snowed on and off all weekend. We live on the westside of Cleveland and the snow never stuck. The east side got over 2 feet, the difference of lake effect.

Our neighbors invited us over for dinner even though there was no Browns game on Sunday. The guys watched the Cavs game and the kids played.

I started reading Discovering Christmas kids devotional advent with my kids.
