Hello Monday

Hey loves. Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We had a busy weekend with a surprise birthday party and helping some friends. I am hoping, prayers, all the things crossed all three kids go to school all 5 days this week. It potentially is the first 5 day week in this house this year.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Friday

Starting the morning finishing up Love Unending. I read this devotional every February. There are 21 day devotionals with challenges to help with your marriage or long term relationships.

Anna's class celebrated 100 days of school, on day 99 because of snow days. She came home with a sticker on her forehead.

Her teacher sent pictures of a bunch of different activities the kids did to celebrate 100 days as well as counting to 100 different ways.

Anna had requested a movie night. They had popcorn and we watched Return to Neverland. It was released in 2002, kind of went with the storyline of Peter Pan but it was a lot heavier of a movie with lots of unanswered questions.

Saturday

A slow start to our Saturday. I was up at 6am and the kids were already up watching TV. I made delicious sourdough sausage muffins. Brian went to work for a few hours as I caught up on laundry and other odds and ends around the house.

Austin had a basketball game. His team was not mentally there. I watched their practice in Monday and they did great, Saturday was a different story.

After basketball we came home, Austin got a shower and we got ready for Brian's moms surprise 70th birthday party.

Grandma with her grandkids.

Grandma with her two sons, and all their kids.

It was a wonderful surprise party.

Sunday

Anna and Austin had a sleepover together in Anna's room (Friday night was in Austin's room). When we woke them up for church I asked how did they sleep. Anna said good. Austin said good but Anna kept kicking him. Her response was "I was just trying to cuddle because I love you"

Anna was her normal self at church dancing away. After church Anna and Austin went to Sunday school, Brian went to a meeting, and I chatted with a girlfriend for an hour.

At home Ella had a friend come over, Anna and I played Monopoly, Austin played Xbox for a little bit and Brian went and looked at a house for a client.

Our friends have been out of town all week for a funeral. They came home in the afternoon. We surprised them with dinner and another friend got them a few essential groceries for the week. We hung out for a little bit then it was home and get ready for the week ahead.
