Hey loves. Happy Monday and Happy St. Patrick's Day. How was your weekend? We had a beautiful but windy weekend in the 60s and 70s. Now today's the high is 35. Crazy weather.
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.
Friday
Do you ever feel like you are being watched? I looked out the window and saw Frank the squirrel sitting on a 4x4 post just staring at me. He wanted some peanuts but usually comes to the door and makes his presence known.
My kids don't have school on St. Patrick's Day so they were told they could dress up on Friday. Ella stole my sweater and had on green lipstick and hair streaks. My other two kids didn't want to dress up.
The weather was gorgeous on Friday with temps almost to 80. We had planned on a little cookout with the neighbors. The kids played outside until the sun went down, then they went inside and watched the new Moana 2 movie. There were no iPads.
The adults enjoyed talking, hanging out, and a fire for the evening.
Saturday
The first Saturday in a while we had had no plans. It was a lazy slow morning. I finished reading a book, Brian had Ryan Hall storm chaser on Youtube most of the day watching all the storms down south.
We had high wind warnings but the kids got outside and practiced some baseball. Austin has try outs in a week or so and Anna is doing t-ball this year.
Anna and I ended the night watching Moana 2. It is a cute movie. She had popcorn too. Brian and Austin played Xbox together.
The kids had showers and I had a wonderful relaxing bath. I don't think I have taken a bath in this house and we have lived here over 3 years. The bathtub is in the kids bathroom and is nothing special.
Sunday
Anna had a couple of kids stand up and dance with her this week. She was back to her leprechaun ways.
Anna refused to wear her green St. Patrick's Day clothes because it was not St. Patrick's Day yet. Instead she had a green hair clip, a necklace, and a Christmas skirt with bells. We were heading to another neighbors house to hang out and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with all the food.
It had rained on and off and the backyard was a swap. The kids were allowed some tablet time. The toys were on the tablets way to long, the girls ended up playing and watching TV.
Anna and I set up her leprechaun trap. In hopes of catching him with coins, a rainbow, and toys. Do your kids do leprechaun traps? This is our first year.
How was your weekend?

DeleteMy grandsons set a leprechaun trap here last night. They had fun putting it together and were excited to see some candy in it this morning. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteThis was our first year doing a leprechaun trap, it was fun
DeleteRyan Hall (y'all!) is the only weather I watch. I think he's the most non-click-baity one out there. Looks like a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree he is non click baity and he is more accurate than our local guys
