Hey loves. Today we are talking about the supplements that my family and myself take. I got this question when I mentioned in my most recent day in the life post where I said I got our vitamins ready for the day.
My disclaimer: I am not a doctor, and it is always recommended you talk to your doctor before you switch or take any supplements and vitamins. Also listen to your body. I also know that there are lots of scams of vitamins out there, especially on Amazon. I have bought vitamins from there before that I know were not what they were supposed to be. Lastly, what works for me may not work for you. It can be trial and error, lab tests, and trying different brands. This is currently what our family is doing and what is working for us.
What My Kids Currently Take:
My kids keep it very simple. The younger two take elderberry and multivitamins. My older one only takes a multivitamin, allergy pill, and vitamin d pills which both the pills were recommended by her doctor. Occasionally they may also do an liquid omega 3 and/or probiotic, we are not consistent with giving them those. Their gummies we buy at Sam's Club or Costco.
What Brian and I Currently Take:
My night time routine. I need to get back in the habit of mixing 8 oz of water with these. The fiberwise is a great fiber source (which help with your gut and pooping) . Mela-out helps you relax and sleep better. I get both from the wellness box.
Other notes:
- Brian also takes prescriptions from the doctor that I don't have listed.
- I also drink electrolytes everyday. If I ma feeling sick or there is sickness in our house I drink an immune support mix from the wellness box.
- I have also gotten into the habit of drinking a shake most days. I do good on the days I go into work. or I will mix a protein powder with yogurt and add berries and granola.
