Coffee Chat 5.20.25

Hey loves.  I love taking the time and talking about random things that I would discuss with my girlfriend over coffee or wine or water like this morning. A totally random post. But I love reading others randomness too. Grab a coffee, tea, or wine and lets chat.

  • My kids are ready for summer, we still have three and a half weeks. There is a lot of repeating myself to get ready or come eat breakfast when they just want to play in the morning. I need to bring back out the morning routine chart, they have to eat, brush teeth and hair, get dressed, etc all before they can play.
  • I keep saying I am going to go get fitted for good walking shoes and keep putting it off. I just need to go and do it.
  • We are in full swing of Maycember. Thursday is the worst with like 10 things going on, 4 of which are at the same time. I feel bad for the kids who parents can't take off work during the day to do all the things. I am very grateful that Brian and I both have flexible jobs.
  • I am loving sitting on the back patio getting some work done. It is so peaceful listening to the birds. I have been making it an incentive if I get my workout done and at least 9000 steps that I can go sit outside. (I know I will get at least 1000 more steps in before the end of the day)
  • I want a slow down summer. Life has been so crazy business (the next few weeks included) and my kids are growing up to fast. I just want to slow down and embrace summer.
  • I feel like a bad mom. One day last week Anna woke up complaining that her throat hurt. She slept with her window open, the fan on, and pollen/allergies have been high. I told her she was fine and sent her to school. She got off the bus crying that her throat hurt. I took her in the house and she was running a fever. We went to the express care where she tested positive for strep. I know I could have never known she had strep without the test but I still feel bad.

Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,

  1. I hope the time before the summer break doesn't drag too much. We still have a month before my girl finishes college for summer.
Oh no! I hope Anna is feeling better now. Don't feel bad, I know when my girls were little there were a few times I sent them to school when they were sick not realising they were really sick.
