Hey loves. It's the end of August, where has the year gone. Today is my kids first day of school. There was some excitement and some nerves leading up to it. I pray for a successful year, new friends, and lots of fun.
I love taking the time and talking about random things that I would discuss with my girlfriend over coffee or wine or water this morning. A totally random post. But I love reading others randomness too. Grab a coffee, tea, or wine and lets chat. Today Starbucks releases all things pumpkin!!!! I am sure I will grab one later today.
- I am so ready to get back to routines and schedules. I am not ready for these 5am alarms. This year (at least right now) Ella's dad is driving her home on his way to work. She gets dropped off a little before 530am. I have to wake up with her to make sure she gets home and to also unlock the house and turn off our security alarm.
- Now that the kids won't be home I get to watch tv. I want to finish The Summer I Turned Pretty and I just started Hunting Wives.
- Yesterday I wore pants, real shoes (not open toed), and a sweater to work. I am not ready for these colder days. Yesterday's temps were only in the 60s, this is not August weather.
- I have the itch to decorate for Halloween. Yes I am skipping fall, but will still have fall up with Halloween. We are hosting (like always) Labor Day and Brian said I can't decorate until after the cookout. That doesn't include all the random pumpkin and ghost decorations that I already put up.
- Last weekend we started our weekend football get together. It was the last preseason game for the Browns and our neighbors hosted a little get together. They have started talking about the upcoming games for the Browns and Ohio State plus food and theming. We usually theme our food based on who we are playing.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
I am not ready for these fall like temps just yet either; I mean they are a nice break from the heat but I would have liked the last of August to actually feel like summer.
ReplyDeleteYes I would like Labor Day to feel like summer still for all the cookouts.
