Hello Monday 10.20.2025

Hey loves. Happy Monday on a Tuesday. How was your weekend? After a crazy busy week it was nice to have a more relaxing weekend. We had our last soccer game of the season, some gorgeous weather, and some fun.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Friday

Last day of spirit week. Ella goes all out for spirit days. This is the second week they have had this year. Friday was team color day, her team is green. She wore Brian's old football jersey (he graduated from our the same school district we live), green lips, green eyeshadow, W green on her face, green hair pieces, my green long sleeve shirt, and my green tennis shoes.

After the kids went to school I hit up Trader Joes and found this cute light up cemetery. It has air plants in dirt, and I have never had air plants before, any tips.
Afterwards I got my eyebrows waxed, went to Aldi for groceries then treated myself to a little brown sugar shaken espresso from Starbucks.  Home to unload the car put groceries away, switch laundry and become one with the couch. I watched an episode of Love is Blind and the Life with the Walker Boys.

Ella bought new black cowgirl boots with he birthday money. She wore them to the high school football game, it was a black out theme.

We ended up at one of our neighbor's house for the kids to paint pumpkins, jump in the leaves, a fire, pizza and smores. Brian went with the kids, then Ella and I walked down, Brian left to take Ella to her friends and drop off keys to a new homeowner. Then Anna and I left to go to gymnastics.

After gymnastics we went back over. The adults enjoyed some red wine and/or bourbon at the fire, while the kids. We were home a little after 9pm. Straightened up the house and called it a night.

Saturday

Anna said she was sleeping in. She was still up at 7am. I also slept in until 7 then I had to pee. Brian made breakfast I had a sourdough English muffin with avocado. Then I started cleaning the main floor and worked on my laundry.

I love having this little touch of flowers and pumpkins in our half bathroom. It just makes if feel more welcoming. I also love fresh flowers on the kitchen tablet. It makes a house feel like a home.

Anna had her last soccer game of the season. She was so excited to go. The game did not go as she planned, the scrapped her knee and there were tears and there were tears when the other team won. She really had her hopes up to winning it it just wasn't their day. She did have a good season and now she is talking about trying basketball.

I even got Ella out of the house to watch Anna's last game.

After Anna's game we went home and I got busy on making waffles. It took way to long to make two batches of these cute heart shaped waffles that my kids eat for breakfast. They have protein, flaxseed, sourdough, and chia seeds for added nutrients so I don't feel so bad about them eating a waffle everyday for breakfast. Two batches made over 70 waffles and my iron only does one heart at a time. I have decided I am getting myself a different waffle iron.

Ella finally decided to decorate some out front. Here she is on the room hanging the spiderweb.

Our neighbor invited Anna to a Halloween event put on by the early childhood pta. Anna was so excited to wear her costume. She is Allison the Alien from the Disney Zombies 3 movie.

We talked Ella into doing her make-up

and she got blue hair.

Our little friends group with all the kids had so much fun. Afterwards Anna hung out with her friends at the neighbors house for a little bit then came home and hung out with another friend who was patiently waiting for her to come home. Brian invited the other neighbor dad and kids over to watch football and hang out.

Sunday

We started our Sunday off with church and Sunday school. I ended up watching my friends kids who I use to babysit for while she did her final walk through of her house with Brian. The girls were good and played Barbies together. It had been a few months since they had seen each other.

While the girls were over I was baking bread, folding laundry, and cleaning up the house for the football bunch to go over and watch the browns play. It was our week to host.

Anna had my phone and was taking pictures of my shirt. I got it from Acts of Sourdough.

For the most part it was a good day. There was some kid drama but it wasn't my kids and it was handled properly. The Browns won, we had extra kids and they got along, my kids shared. Anna and one friend ended the night taking a shower together (this has been their new thing) and put on matching pajamas. Can you tell which one is Anna ?

Everyone was home by 7 which is very usual but was a nice change to having an earlier night and getting the kids to bed and regular time and getting the house straightened back up.

That's a wrap on our weekend. Hope you also had a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
