Let's Look Ways We Have Turned Into Our Parents

Hey loves. How is your week going? We are finally warming up, started some prep for our vacation, and so many meetings between work and PTA.

It is time for the monthly fun Let's Look link up with  Erika and Shay

In January we looked at things we outsource without regret.

This month we are looking at how we have turned into our parents.

There has never been a doubt that I am my mother's daughter, we look alike. I also have to say I call and apologize to my parents for things I did growing up that my kids now do.

Now how am I like my parents in no particular order

  • Calling my kids the wrong name, My sister Sarah and I were always called the wrong name. At times I will even be yelling at one of my kids and yell my sisters name. (My mom yells at my niece and will say my name)
  • Using empty containers from like lunch meat as tupperware. I am doing this less and less now that we have switched most of our containers to glass
  • Get lost like my mother, I call it sight seeing.
  • Being active in all my kids activities from Girl Scouts to sports to  PTA. That was my mom growing up. She knew all my friends and their parents because she helped out in everything we were involved in.
  • Eyes on the back of my head- my mom use to say this all the time she knew what we were doing without looking. I say it to my kids now.
  • I keep things that I could use one day, I am trying to get better at this. I will say my parents had a plant stand in their garage attic for at least 20 years that is now in my dining room so some things do get used one day
I am sure there are more ways that I have turned into my parents. That's what I can think of for now.
How have you turned into your parents?
