Friday Favorites 7.17.2026

Hey loves. It's Friday.  It has been a busy week celebrating two birthdays and two championship games. It went from crazy hot weather to smoky and air quality warnings. We have a busy weekend full of birthday parties and time with friends.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea.

~ ONE ~

All restaurants should have a playground by the patio. We went to the German club that has a soccer complex next to it. Right outside the patio is a playground. The kids run back and forth from eating to playing while the adults had a hot meal and are not bothering 5 million times.

~ TWO ~

This little princess celebrated a birthday and turned 7. She requested donuts and a playground for breakfast.

After the playground we surprised her with walking the beach (Lake Erie). We also went out to dinner for pizza by her request too. Oh and lets not forget Mitchells for ice cream.

~ THREE ~

My first red cherry tomato on my potted tomato plant.

~ FOUR ~

I have to say this week all my kids have gotten a long a lot more. Ella has been out of her room more (teenage problems) and having fun with her siblings. In the car on the way home from Costco the other day my watch had the "loud environment" warning that you normally get at a concert or by loud machinery. It was my children singing/screaming  the coconut song on repeat.

~ FIVE ~

I have no idea what type of flowers these are. If I use the iPhone plant search it keeps telling me everything is a tickseed so who knows. But I love that this year they are coming in red and yellow and this magical one that is half and half.

~ SIX ~

Welcome to the car wash. I bought my kids this cardboard car wash before school was out and forgot about it in the basement and we got busy. I brought it up, Ella built it, and all three kids have been coloring it all week. It is far from done, which I love that they are spending hours being creative and not on electronics.

~ SEVEN ~

The zinnias Brian planted out front are blooming beautifully. I planted a bunch of the side of the house and only 2 have bloomed and a handful more are growing. They did not grow like Tiktok told me they would.

~ EIGHT ~

Austin's baseball team made it to the Championship. If you would have asked any of us if that was possible at the start of the season we would have said no. These boys had so much growth, friendship, encouragement for each other, and worked hard. It was a double elimination. So we had to lose two times. Unfortunately they did but they tried and still had positive attitudes when it was all said and done.

~ NINE ~

We celebrated Austin turning 11. I don't know how that is even possible. He requested a Big Mac from McDonalds for lunch and burgers for dinner.

For lunch I got myself a peach burrata bowl from Chopt. It was delicious.

After dinner we went to BA Sweetie and played putt putt and got ice cream. I have to say I was disappointed in the ice cream selection. The only dairy free they had was dairy free vanilla. I at least like two options and one being chocolate.
