Hey loves. It is officially the week of back to school. Earlier bedtimes and early wakes ups start tomorrow morning to get ready for school starting on Thursday. I am sharing a few helpful things I am doing today and tomorrow to prepare for the week ahead.
- Prep First Day of School Sign
- If you do the first day of school photos with a sign prep ahead of time. Print them out or get your letter board ready, No rushing the morning of to get that photo before the bus shows up early.
- School Supplies
- We went through what we bought what we needed. Now we need to put names on everything and organize. This will be Austin's first year switching classrooms, having a locker, and being responsible for his stuff.
- Mud Room Organization
- Go through shoes, and coats. Hang bookbags. Put socks and other morning essentials (lice prevention spray, deodorant, etc)
- Week of Clothes
- A shoe closet organizer works perfect for a different day of clothes in each spot. We fill them on Sunday nights/afternoon with what they want to wear for the week. This has helped mornings run smoother.
- Along with picking out clothes for the week we quickly went through Anna and Austin's clothes yesterday and got rid of anything that didn't fit and made a list of items they may need. (Austin needs a light jacket and light weight pants, Anna needs more shorts that fit)

- Make a new check list for each kid. I hang them in dry erase packets so they can check off when they do it.

- Calendar
- I have been updating my calendar with all the things for the past two weeks. With 3 kids in 3 different schools, 3 different PTAs, plus music boosters, sports, and more I need to be organized. I also purchased a few new planners to try out and ended up going back to my tried and true Happy Planner. I like the classic planner with a vertical layout. Every Sunday I sit down and update the weekly schedule with my to do list.
