Happy Birthday to Me Lucky 33

Happy Friday and Happy Birthday to me. Today is my 33rd birthday. Today I am doing 33 random facts about me.

1- Growing up I was obsessed with frogs. I still like them but not as obsessed as I use to be. I use to have collections in every room.

2- Now I am Disney obsessed. My favorite is Mickey and Minnie kissing. I love going to Disney World (even without my kids) and Disney movies.

3- I have known my best friend Heather since we were 4 years old. She moved down the street and came over to play on our slip and slide.

4- Chocolate makes everything better. My favorite is dark chocolate.

5- I use to think beer was gross and not worth wasting to try and drink. Now it is my alcholic beverage drink of choice. Depending on my mood I like chocolate stouts. With the summer weather I am liking fruitier light beers.

6- Every morning I have to make my bed (after everyone else gets out of it). I hate walking into my room and my bed being un-made. I feel like the whole house is a mess.

7- I have survived the last 3 years in our current house with no dish washer. (and I hate dishes) We have a portable dishwasher that sucks, you have to pre-wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher to be washed again. That's to much work and to much water. I would rather just do it once and get it over with. Our next house has to have a dishwasher or space for a permanent one.

8- I somewhat planned my own 25th surprise party. I mentioned to my sister I wanted a surprise party, and who she should invite. Her and my then husband planned all the rest of the details.

9- I can drive a stick shift if I had to.

10- I have a birth mark on the side of my neck that looks like a hickey. It has faded over the years but comes out in the sun.

11- My favorite games growing up were Battleship and Twister. Both of which we don't currently own.

12- Speaking of games I have a love/hate relationship with Monopoly. I hate losing so I use to cheat and play the banker. One year my sister bought me electronic Monopoly so I could no longer cheat, the box is still unopened and I haven't planed Monopoly since. (unless you count playing with Ella but making up our own rules.)

13- My favorite coffee is fresh ground Kona Blend made in a french press. (We make it every Sunday)

14- I use to want to be a teacher growing up. Now I look at teachers of how patient they are and could never do it. I give so much props to teachers.

15- Growing up I was never really into reading much, my sister was the bookworm. Now I love getting wrapped up in a good book.

16- My first real job was as a receptionist at a hair salon before I got my cosmetology license.

17- After getting my license I went to work at a different salon based on training requirements. I was still a minor and the previous salon wouldn't let a parent stay at the hotel with me.

18- I worked for said company on and off for 15 years, 4 different locations, assistant manager at one, stylist at others.

19- Between there I also was the night operations manager at a well known hotel chain. I worked there for a year and a half, manager for 9 months and I hated it.

20- I have no tattoos. I want one but can't decide what I want.

21- I had braces way to long. From the end of 8th grade, until the week before prom my senior year.

22- My first concert was Linkin Park. I saw them 6 times in concert.

23- I have only been pulled over once for running a stop sign (knock on wood)

24- I took French in school. I may not be able to speak it very well, but I can read it enough to get around parts of Canada.

25- I have a fear of spiders.

26- I don't drink pop, unless I am sharing with someone else.

27- I use to be a horrible cook. Practice makes perfect, I don't measure much and it turns out great now.

28- I don't touch a grill. I have dropped my fair share of burgers and steaks down the grate. I will leave it to the professionals.

29- I always had pets growing up until I moved in with Brian. He is allergic to cats and dogs. We do have fish.

30- I can hang with the boys when it comes to drag racing.

31- I know more about working on cars then most men.

32- My favorite Disney princess is Snow White.

33- I use to be awesome at playing Call of Duty. I haven't touched a video game in 7 years.

That was a lot harder than I anticipated. I hope you learned something new about me.

Have a great weekend.

One of my favorite home style meals is Chicken Pot Pie. It could be 100 degrees outside and it will still sound amazing to me.

What's Up Wednesday

Hey friends. Happy Wednesday. Where did June go? I swear yesterday was Memorial day, now this week is the end of the month, plus my birthday is Friday. Growing up it has always felt like whenever my birthday came, in a blink of an eye summer was over. We are counting down until our Disney vacation which is the last big bang of summer. It is exciting and sad all at the same time.

It's time for What's Up Wednesday. I'm linking up today with ShaySheaffer, and Mel. Talking about What's Been Up for the past month.

Sunday- BBQ chicken
Monday- Pizza (not planned but we got home late and i didn't have anything prepped)
Tuesday- late lunch of pizza had a shake later for dinner
Wednesday- Egg roll in a bowl
Thursday- Zoodles

~ What I Am Reminiscing About ~

For my quarter life crisis I got my nose pierced. It lasted less than a year than I got pregnant with Aubriella. I became allergic to all jewerly including my wedding rings.

Two years ago this was the best shape I had been in probably since high school. I want to get back to that. I had so much more energy, and confidence.

Also two years ago Austin had his heart tests done. Thankfully he has made a full recovery.

~ What I Am Loving ~

My girlfriend had her baby 2 and a half weeks ago. We finally got to meet her yesterday. Austin was a awesome little daddy. He held her, fed her for 30 seconds than said she was done, burped her, and laid there and stared at her while she slept. He is going to possibly be an awesome big brother one day.

~ What We Have Been Up To ~

Took the kids to Touch a Truck. So much fun.

Aubriella had her last day of Kindergarten. She is officially going into 1st grade.

Moana is here, everyday.

I became a mini-van mom and I love it.

Kids have spent lots of time outside and in the pool. We even upgraded to a bigger pool (not pictured)

Happy Father's Day

Had fun at Cedar Point

Plus a fun day at the zoo which started with donuts for the kids.

Had a play date. First official photo of all 6 kids.

~ What I'm Dreading ~

Ella is going on vacation with her dad for a week. It is going to be so quite and lonely without her. Austin will ask for her a million times. It is the sweetest thing.

Ella has to have a dental procedure done towards the end of July. They have to put her to sleep. I am not looking forward to it.

~ What I Am Working On ~

Little by little working on organizing our basement so we can paint, carpet, and turn it into a play room, workout area, and entertainment room.

~ What I'm Excited About ~

Lots more trips to the zoo and we have started our countdown to Disney.

~ What I Am Watching ~

I thought girls were full of drama, boy was I wrong. This season of the Bachelorette has a lot of it. So far I like Colton, but his past with Tia rubs me the wrong way. I also like Garrett the minivan guy. Who is your favorite?

I have this on my DVR to watch, I hope it is good. Anyone watch it yet?

~ What I Am Reading ~

Maybe one day I will finish these two. You can see a full recap of what I have read recently HERE.

~ What Am I Listening To ~

I found a new Disney Podcast I am loving. Be Our Guest has some great listener questions answered. I also still love The Mouse and More podcast and Mousechat.

~ What I Am Doing This Weekend ~

It is my birthday weekend (my birthday is Friday) but we don't really have any plans. Just spending time with my kids.

~ What I Am Looking Forward to Next Month ~

Austin turns 3. OMG where has the time gone. I have decided we are not having a big birthday for him this year. But we will have a bunch of smaller one.

Summer Recap Week 2

This past week has been a whirl wind. We have family in from Boston, Colorado, and Seattle. They come home once a year and we try to squeeze so much stuff in while they are here, plus everyday life and an already busier than normal week. (heads up, this one is a little long)

~ MONDAY ~

Every time our niece Mariah visits from Seattle (and it not snowing out) we visit Cedar Point. It is an excuse for us to go and spend time with just her.

Austin's first ride at Cedar Point was the Merry go round as the other 3 rode a bigger kid ride.

Ella, Austin, and I headed for kiddie rides while Brian and Mariah rode a couple of roller coasters that had no wait. Austin's decided he wanted to ride the helicopter. It turned out to be a major fail. To make the ride go up you pulled the bar in. Austin just wanted to leave it pushed out or move it back and forth real quick so their helicopter didn't go up. Ella was not very happy.

I got to enjoy a ride in the back of a jeep as the kids drove me around. (it was on a track that goes automatically)

Even though Austin didn't want his picture taken, he loved this ride.

I wish I could say Austin enjoyed the bumper cars. Unfortunately the operator was a pain. He measured tall enough to ride the ride, then she said oh he isn't tall enough and wouldn't even let him ride with his sister.

Austin rode his first real choo choo.

and a school bus that goes up in the air.

So my kids may not know who Snoopy and the gang is but I got them to take a picture with Snoopy.

Our traditional Cedar Point family photo

Austin rode his first kids coaster. He was in love. Not only was it a train but it went fast. This is the most priceless photo ever. True excitement in his eyes.
Now there is no question he will have a blast at Disney World. Both kids fell asleep in the van on the way home. Austin had a very short nap on the way to Cedar Point. He did a lot of walking, even though we had the stroller.

~ TUESDAY ~

After such a crazy long Monday, Tuesday was a pretty chill day for the kids. They did a lot of resting, both of them napped, and Ella was running a slight fever. There was no playing outside.

Tuesday night we had a charity event with Coldwell Banker and Cleveland Clinic Kids foundation at the Cleveland Indians game.

It was a gorgeous evening, with great company, a great game and WE WON!!!!!

~ WEDNESDAY ~

I picked up a few hour shift at the salon again last week. I worked 9-1 which meant I had to be prepared with my own food so I wouldn't order out or stop for fast food. Plus my shake, coffee, and water. Trying to stay on track with staying healthy.

After work Ella asked if we could play Bingo. Austin also played with us and did pretty good himself.
Wednesday evening Austin and I stayed home and just relaxed. I catch up on watching the Bachelorette.

~ THURSDAY ~

Thursday we went to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo!!!! It was the first time we went this year, and we got a membership. The kids and I will be going a lot this summer as something fun and close to do.
Brian and I got coffee from Dunkin Donuts so the kids had to get a donut. who knew Austin could make so much of a mess with one donut.

First animal we saw were naked mole rates. These are one of Ella's random favorite animals. When we was younger she would stay here forever just watching them

Just a little temper tantrum. Someone needed a nap.

Such a good daddy picking up both kids to look at the black bears in the water.

Austin had a blast at the zoo. Running around, seeing animals, and he got to ride a tram to him a choo choo twice.

~ FRIDAY ~

Friday was another rest day. How dad ended up giving horsey rides I have no idea. But the kids had a blast.

I made a homemade(ish) chicken pot pie for dinner. It was a hit with everyone. Recipe coming Thursday.

~ SATURDAY ~

Spent Saturday morning enjoying the gorgeous weather and walking around Crocker Park.

Stopped in Trader Joes and got a few things.

Plus bought some locally grown fresh produce.

After nap time and lunch Austin enjoyed playing in his sandbox for a few minutes.

Then the rain rolled in for a little bit. The rest of the evening Austin and I spent watching Hallmark movies and playing with cars, trucks and trains while Brian worked his other job until 2am.

~ SUNDAY ~

Sunday morning was a Austin and mommy day while daddy was at some Browns season ticket holders event. Austin helped me with dishes, and laundry.

Austin also wanted to be a big boy and carry his own diaper bag to go to Grandma's for dinner. That lasted less than a minute.

At Grandma's he built his new puzzle that Aunt Nancy just bought him.

My Dare Devil.
We had a delicious dinner of grilled bbq chicked, baked potatoes, veggies, and corn on the cob followed by key lime pie. Austin didn't take a nap so was getting crabby around 7. We stayed until 8 (we had to have dessert). He was asleep in less than 2 minutes in the car. Now I can curl up and relax with some hot tea and a book, and maybe some more Hallmark movies.
