Disney Day 7 and 8

Finishing up our Disney vacation recap- Day 7 at Magic Kingdom plus Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Day 8- travel day home.

Our last day in the parks had to start with a pumpkin spice iced latte with almond milk from Starbucks. (for whatever reason I loved Starbucks pumpkin spice when I am at disney, at home they are gross)

Our last morning at Magic Kingdom was pretty low key. We rode the last few rides we still wanted to do. Here we are on Astro Orbiter. I don't know why I let them talk me into riding this, I hate this ride.

We missed the timing for the Disney World Train our first day at Magic Kingdom. We had to make sure we got on it this time. Austin was in heaven and didn't want to get off. We ended up going all around the circle instead of getting off at a stop along the way.

We had fast passes for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but Austin was just a little to short again. Brian and Ella rode then we switched off and Ella and I rode (using Austin's magic band). While Austin and I were waiting we rode Dumbo and Barnstormer a few times.

While we were there it was Incredible Summer. This was such a fun magic shot. Now I just need to see the Incredibles 2.

Brian's trip would not have been complete without riding Splash Mountain. Good thing Ella loves the ride also.

We headed back to the hotel during the middle of the day to an outfit change. Our plan was to be back to Magic Kingdom around 5 before the official start of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It didn't happen that way. We ended up waiting over an hour for the bus to go back to Magic Kingdom. Even when the bus did come it was so crowded.

Once we got to the park we made the most of it. We didn't go with the intentions of meeting any of the extra characters knowing that the lines for them are always so long and my kids dont have that kind of patience yet. We rode the Tea cups which had black lights (my camera didn't get a good shot) and rode some other rides that were open. We ended up only doing a few candy stops because Ella couldn't eat the candy anyways.

We dressed up as Pirates. I picked something that would be easy to travel with, comfortable to wear, and didn't take up much space. I bought Mickey Mouse bandanas on clearance from Target, ordered eye patchs on amazon, cut up white shirts, and cut up red fabric. Simple and easy.

We stopped by Princess Hall and meet some princesses since we hadn't done this yet, plus there was only a 10 minute wait if that. I just love this picture of Austin with Cinderella.

Aubriella was excited to meet Ariel. She kept calling Austin a little guppy.

Who doesn't love Rapunzel.

and Tiana.

Another fun magic shot.

It was a late night with some tired kids. We stayed for the late parade, saw some of the fireworks, but missed the stage show. I feel like you can't do everything but we still enjoyed it. My favorite was the Boo to You parade.

Our last day we had planned as a shopping day at Disney Springs. We checked out of our hotel and headed to do some shopping before we had to leave for the airport. We dropped off our luggage that was getting checked with airport pick up and we didn't see it again until we got back to Cleveland. We also dropped off our carry on's with bell services so we didn't have to carry them all around Disney Springs. We just so happened to see a little baby turtle that both kids wanted to take home with us.

We checked out the Lego store again, thankfully it was less crowded and we got some Christmas ideas.

After we were done at Disney Springs we headed back to our resort to wait for our pick up time for the Magical Express back to the airport. We had to drop back off our stroller and still had time to spare. We found a place to sit in the lobby for a while then went outside and waited. It wouldn't be this Disney trip if our bus was running late. It was over 30 minutes late, thankfully we had a later flight and security wasn't to bad. There was also 1/2 of a corn hole game for the kids to play while we waited.

We finally got to the airport and waited for our flight. We found a seat that faced the window, with chargers so the kids could watch the planes and I could charge my phone. We had a long night and didn't get home until after midnight.

We had a great Disney vacation with both kids. Austin may have been a little young and a little short, things may have not gone as planned, Ella may have been more crabby this time then the first time we took her, but we had a blast and I would do it again.
