What's Up Wednesday

Hey loves. Happy What's Up Wednesday. How is it already the last Wednesday of the month. April has really flown by. My kids have about 5 weeks of school left and we are going on vacation in like 50 or so days. We are already over here counting down the days until summer.

It's that time for What's Up Wednesday with Shay, and Sheaffer. On the last Wednesday of every month we are all invited to share a little bit everything that has been going on for the past month.

On the last week of April here's what's up...

~ WHAT I AM EATING THIS WEEK ~

I am on my last week of the 4 week Gut Protocol nutrition program, to help me determine what foods are causing bloating, inflammation, gas, etc. Next week I start adding foods back in that I eliminated. Here's what we are eating this week:

Monday - Trader Joes Turkey Burgers with potatoes and asparagus

Tuesday - Mahi Mahi Tacos

Wednesday - Italian Chicken Sausage with brown rice carrots and green beans

Thursday - Egg Roll in a bowl

Friday - Local Take Out

Saturday - Leftovers

Sunday- Lasagna, homemade gluten free bread, zoodles and red sauce.
What is on your dinner menu this week?

~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~

Audrianna and her hair and smile and two teeth.

Audrianna was her daddy's favorite little helper with work.

It's been 4 years since Brian and I took a vacation without kids to Disney World. We keep talking about going again too.

Austin crawling in the grass, always wanted to be outside. (now he always wants electronics, but doesn't always get them)

6 years ago we bought Ella all the stuff to play soccer. She never ended up playing because someone else didn't want her playing indoor or co-ed and that is all that is available around here for her age at the time. This year she is finally starting soccer. We will see how she likes it, it is outdoors but co-ed.

~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~

Loving this spring dress and jean jacket

Loving the sunshine and warmer temps that we have had. Not loving the snow mixed in, it is suppose to snow again today after being in the 80s last weekend.

The kids loved playing with Easter grass.

Loving Anna uniqueness in style. She wants skirts and Elsa.

New favorite drink iced fresh mint matcha.

My little indoor garden I have cilantro, basil, and parley in the little blue planters, Mint in the bigger blue container, the kids have sunflowers on the plate, and just a leafy thing in the frog.

I am loving my new kindle. I can ready it while outside, it doesn't get hot like my last one, and it stays charged a lot longer.

~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~

Brian and I got a date night with tacos before I started my gut health program.

We celebrated my niece turning 10 with a bowling party. Ella and Anna had fun, Ella was just so tired from a sleepover the night before from another birthday party she didn't do to well.

Every Sunday Austin has had flag football. Some days he likes it other days he is completely over it. This past weekend he got so close to his first touchdown.

Ella went with her father to get her ears pierced. He took her to a tattoo shop to get them done. She has been doing awesome with taking care of them as directed.

Anna loves to swing and play at the playground. Any chase she gets she will run away to the playground.

I have been consistent with the 4 Weeks for Everybody program and 4 Week Gut Protocol Nutrition Program. I am feeling amazing and have determined a few foods that my body is sensitive that I had been eating everyday.

We had a fun trip to the zoo on Good Friday. I also started watching two little girls two days a week.

Had a blessed Easter with the family.

Ella had a playdate.

Brian has been cutting down some smaller trees around the house. The kids have been helping. (A tree company is taking down the bigger ones)

Tree trucks turn into toys

We have been doing lots of chalk pictures. This is Anna's favorite thing to do. Notice all the saw dust in her hair that she was playing with.

Gorgeous days call for picnics on the front porch.

And trips to go get ice cream.

~ WHAT I AM DREADING ~

nothing right now

~ WHAT I AM WORKING ON ~

I am starting another round of Job 1 workouts, 20 minutes a day 5 days a week for 4 weeks. I am also running an accountability/wellness group of other women also doing the program. Want to join me? Here's a form if you are interested or just send me a message.

We have vacation planned for the middle of June. I am working on packing list, ideas to do while we are there, all the things.

Right after vacation is both Anna and Austin's birthday. We are doing a joint birthday again (and probably forever unless it is a big birthday) Need to plan the details and not wait until the last minute.

~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~

Mother's Day is coming up and we are hosting brunch for the whole family again.

Non-scale victory
I made a quick trick to Kohl’s to use some kohl’s cash. (Thanks kohls now I have to go back next week and spend the kohls cash I got today. It is all a trick to make me go back again.)
I got a few new shirts and a new pair of jeans. I went down a size!!!! Consistency, hard work, and showing up is paying off little by little.

~ WHAT I AM WATCHING ~

I watched season 2 of Bridgerton when it first was released. Besides that I haven't really watched anything at all.

  1. The last (and only!) time my husband and I went to Disney without kids was.... 13 years ago! It was so much fun though. Congrats on going down a pant size; those jeans look great!
