Hey loves. Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We had a busy weekend with gorgeous weather. Finally everyone is feeling better and we are counting down the days until school is out and vacation. How about you?
It's the second Monday of the month which means it's time for Not Just A Mom link up with these amazing ladies: Dara, Jen, Joanna, Lauren, and Sarah.
January we did some introductions.
February we shared our House Rules
March we shared Day In the Life Weekend Edition
April we shared our Favorite Cleaning Hacks
This much we are sharing our Pet Peeves
At first I was like I don't have any pet peeves. Then I really got to thinking and I do have a few pet peeves. I try to be pretty laid back and at the same time don't like/want to hurt peoples feelings.
- When you put the toilet paper roll the wrong way. I will take it off and switch it. My parent's house is the monster. To give them some credit it is a far reach to get the toilet paper
- People who are always negative
- When people spit, the sound, everything about it No.
- People who drive slow in the fast lane. Get out of my way.
- People who are always late for everything.
- Not taking shoes off in the house. Everyone knows I hate shoes in the house but some people think they are exempt from having to listen.
- Along with that, that kids and I are barefoot free. No we are not going out without shoes, but we are always running around the yard and neighborhood. You don't have to comment every time "don't you ever wear shoes" or "I could never do that"
- When over someone else's house or your babysitting, don't leave a less in every room. Throw away your trash, help clean up, etc.
- When someone is one their phone instead of watching their kids or while having a conversation with someone else, or checking out at the store. When I worked in the salon I would stop doing their hair and give them a look until they got off the phone.
Come back next month as we How We Became a Mom (weather child birth, married, adoption, etc)
Ha! Except for there being no such thing as the "fast" lane, I agree! (there's only speed limit and speed "minimums") The thing that men do where they can't swallow their own spit and have to cough it up and spit is so beyond gross!! Sometimes I think my pet peeves outweigh the things I like - moms can get crochety over the years!
ReplyDeleteyes so true
DeleteLate people, ugh!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh YES to people who are always negative. Like, I just don't even want to be around you. Life is too short to waste it being negative!!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Don't Mind Our Mess
yes. be happy for what you have. it drives me crazy
DeleteI guess I'm pretty negative since I came up with so many pet peeves! :) I also said slow drivers. We have friends who are always barefoot and they definitely get a lot of comments about it!
ReplyDeleteoh yes about people commenting on something like being barefoot EVERY time they see me. Even if it's not specifically going barefoot, but any other "quirk" - come up with an original start to a conversation! There's a girl at our old church that makes a comment about my daughter's hair color almost every week, and this has been going on for about six years. :-/
ReplyDeleteAh!! The toilet paper one is a good one...why didn't I think of that?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! I found myself nodding along to all of these.
ReplyDeleteMy family usually just leave the cardboard roll and don't put a new toilet paper roll on the holder at all which annoys me more than them not putting it on properly! Grr!
Spitting is so gross!!
