Hey loves. I am sharing more from our vacation. If you missed it I shared our Road Trip Adventure , Hotel Tour and Disney Springs, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom Today is all Disney Character Breakfast and a trip to the gulf coast.
For all the times we have visited Florida, Brian had never been to the Gulf of Mexico. We tried to go a few years ago but I ended up getting sick from drinking Florida water the day we had planned. Since we had a laid back non park day we planned a character breakfast at a Disney resort. I think characters meals (which are expensive) are the easiest way to see a bunch of characters at once without waiting in long lines. Previous years we have done Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot where you get to meet princesses but the breakfast food was a little unusual and Tusker House at Animal Kingdom with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Pluto and the dinner we delicious.
We had breakfast reservations at Disney's Beach Club Resort at Cape May. On the drive there I saw this cute Disney Vacation Club bus. I love that there are random Disney magic throughout the property.
Our breakfast was the last seating at 11am. We had a slow morning.
The breakfast was your typical breakfast buffet. Thankfully my kids ate a bunch and you can never go wrong with Mickey Waffles. While eating breakfast the characters come around to each table for pictures and autographs.
First up was Goofy.
Brian's favorite Donald Duck.
Austin was also excited to see him. If you look at the bottom right you see Ella bent down. Anna was scared of Donald and hid under the table.
Austin had a friend come up behind him....
Austin was surprised to see Daisy.
Anna came out from under the table to see Daisy.
Then the hug. This hug lasted a good 60 seconds. Anna didn't want to let go of Daisy and Daisy was all for it. It was the sweetest thing.
Last up was Minnie.
I even got in a photo.
After breakfast we wondered around the Beach Club Resort (which Brian and I had stayed at before) and the Yacht Club. Then we walked across the bridge to the Boardwalk and checked out the Boardwalk Hotel. I love that the deluxe resorts are Disney each have a little sitting area playing Disney Junior shows for the kids to sit down, relax, keep them entertained etc.
Up next heading to Clearwater Beach to check out the gulf coast.
The area we ended up was just a parking lot. The changing station area was under construction and no parking available. Next time I would go in swim suites instead of trying to change when we get there. We ended up changing one at a time in the back of the van. I do not recommend this. We did end up walking and finding a changing area after swimming.
Ella's one request for vacation was she wanted to eat crab legs. We found a Mr and Mrs Crab in Orlando that we tried. It was different. It was a seafood boil. Brian and Ella ate it but wouldn't necessarily want it again. I got a salad and the kids got friends and chicken fingers.
After dinner we went back to the hotel and the kids went swimming in the pool.
Next week I will be sharing our last day at a Disney Park at Epcot.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
We always tried to include at least one character meal to see ALL the characters too and those were always some of my all time favorite photos.
