Hey friends. How was your weekend? We had a nice weekend. Anna started swim lessons, and we had a Sunday family dinner with extended family in town. Different from our normal long Sunday Browns game events and we didn't see any friends which was weird.
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday.
Friday
I spent the day in the kitchen. I made my normal two loaves of sourdough Artisan bread (one for us, and one for a customer), I tried a new sourdough sandwich bread recipe that was delicious, and sourdough pizza crust.
Anna, Austin, and myself had pizza for dinner. Brian had a church event. Ella was at her dads. My pizza had vegan cheese. We also had a movie night and watched Home Alone 2, my kids loves the first two Home Alone movies and watch them all year.
Saturday
Anna had her first swim lesson. The first one was very basic. Getting the kids in the water, putting their face in the water, floating on their back with assistance, and jumping in the water. Anna loved it and was great with everything.
Anna and Austin played Xbox for a little bit then they started fighting. I grabbed a couple games to play with Anna to distract her. First up was a jenga game. You rolled the dice and the color is landed on was the block you had to pick. This jenga game itself was different, the blocks didn't make a perfect square and was very wobbly.
They kids still had fun playing it. We played 5 rounds, but there were very quick.
Nothing changes with my shake thief.
Brian was watching the Ohio State Football game, they started winning by a long haul so he went outside to do yardwork. He made the kids a leave pile to jump in. I got in on the fun too.
I am so proud of myself for starting a fire by myself. I enjoyed relaxing by the fire while Brian finished the leaves and the kids played outside.
Trampoline fun. Yes I may have said you need to go jump for 10 minutes if you want to play on the tablets. I also may have lied and made them jump for 20 minutes. One day they will learn the concept of time.
The rest of the evening where showers, cuddles, and relaxing.
Sunday
Anna was back to dancing and making everyone happy at church. Last week I made the mistake of saying to Anna be careful of the candles (there were a lot of candles at the alter for Saints Sunday) so she didn't dance. This week she was back dancing and didn't need any instruments to play.
After church the kids and I cleaned up the house. After Brian got home from work, he started a fire, turned on football and I read some of a book.
Brian's sister was in from Kentucky. We hosted a little family dinner and ordered pizza. It was nice to see everyone in a relaxed environment. The kids got a long and we got to chat.
and the kiss.
