Friday Favorites The Freeze

Hey loves. It's Friday. I hope you are all staying warm. It has been a crazy week. I normally love winter, it is so pretty to watch the snow fall and I would rather have snow over rain and mud. I am over all the cold already this year and it isn't even February yet. Are you feeling the same? I hope you enjoyed your week.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea.

~ ONE ~

I made sourdough English muffins that actually have holes and are airy and fluffy. They have been a hit. English muffins are on my 12 Things to Learn in 2025. I want to make them one more time before I check them off my list as being accomplished. If they keep turning out like this there will be no more buying English Muffins at the store, which is the goal.

~ TWO ~

Another Saturday another basketball game for Austin. He was at a different rec center and the court isn't the same size and threw off his team.

~ THREE ~

Just a normal Sunday with Anna dancing at the front of front of church during the last song. All the children are invited upfront to play instruments with the band. She has also turned it into her own personal dance stage.

~ FOUR ~

We were only supposed to get less than an inch, which turned into close to 4 inches. Ella and I did a little shopping and thankfully it started getting bad on our way home. It also wasn't suppose to start until after 1 and this was around 1230.

~ FIVE ~

All these freezing temps have made having a fireplace so worth it. I didn't realize how much warmth our fireplace gives off when I am freezing. We have also figured out how to not freeze the upstairs with the fireplace on because the thermostat is located close to the fireplace.

~ SIX ~

I love being able to volunteer in Anna's classroom. I got to help with Farm Day last week.

~ SEVEN ~

They only had one day of school this week and missed it so much they were playing school together and doing math.

~ EIGHT ~

I didn't feel like making stir fry for dinner again this week, I know it is super easy, I made blender banana protein waffles and sausage links and my kids loved it. Austin had who waffles and 5 sausage links. Anna had 1/2 of a waffle, and 3 sausage links.

In case you missed, here's a quick look at the blog this week:

  1. Sourdough English muffins sound wonderful! I don’t like the cold but I sure do love the snow but then again we get a lot in Indiana, lol! I love making banana waffles, eggs, and turkey sausage sounds just great to me! Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Yes! I am over the cold weather too and I am guessing we have another month of it at least! Ugh!
Those muffins look so good, great job!
It sounds like Anna has a fab time at church each Sunday.
I think I would choose the waffles and sausages over the stir fry too.
