Hey loves. It has been a busy week. I started training for a new job working at our church as the office administrator. I officially start on my own next Monday. Excited and nervous all at the same time. I have also had a sick kid the past few days. Thankfully my mom has been able to come over and babysit so I could go to work. I thought we were all over all the germs.
I am linking up with Jenn over at Overflowing with Thankfulness on the first Wednesday of every month for Currently.
Loving
I always love the relationship Anna and Austin have. For the most part they get along, they ask for sleepovers every weekend, they help each other.
Anna had a Royal tea party at school and she got to dress like a princess and they make crowns with jewels to wear also. Her teacher sent a video of the boys all bowing and the girls curtsying. Anna was the cutest thing. Imagine placing one leg behind the other in a curtsy lunge, arms out holding your dress as far as possible, then bending your knee and bowing. I wish I could share the video but I can't save it to my phone and all the girls in her class are in the video. It is adorable.
Craving
As I am typing this on Tuesday afternoon, the sun is shining, I have the window closest to me popped open, the patio door is slightly open, the front door is open (still with the storm glass door on it), it is currently 63 degrees outside, I hear a bird chirping, and a squirrel jumping around in the leaves in the woods. I am craving the weather to stay like this. I am over snow, cold, and grey days. Mother Nature is just teasing us Thursday we are back to snow in the forecast and a high of 34 degrees.
Pinning
I have been looking up fun salad recipes. Not just greens, a protein. I want added veggies, and crunch and extras to spruce it up.
Planning
New schedules and routines, working two jobs, blogging, ... so much going on. Trying to plan the week ahead and get organized.
Appreciating
Long story short kinda- Brian also works at our church but is doing handyman physical labor sort of work. The one guy he works with is in charge of a lot at the church. He knew that I had been looking for what I call a needle in a hand stack job that would work around my kids schedules. When he found out the office administrator had given her two weeks he reached out to Brian to see if I was interested. They were trying to keep the position "in house" without doing any advertising if possible. I had a few interviews and they offered me the position with very limited experience, but a willing to learn and adapt. I am so appreciative of the guy for thinking of me and for our church for giving me this opportunity.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
That is so exciting for you; wishing you all the best in your new job!! We had what I call "fool's spring" last week and boy do I miss it so much. But I do keep thinking real spring is coming closer and closer each day.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new job!!! It sounds like a great fit for you! I can't wait until we can open our windows... We're getting closer to that day but it isn't quite here yet...
