Share Our Lives- Day in the Life

Hey loves. Happy Monday. It is a busy 3 post day with this weeks Meal Planning Monday Week 190 and a Hello Monday with a look back at our weekend. Today is also my first official day in the office as the church administrator. I am excited for a new adventure.

It is time for Share Our Lives link up.  Join DaraJenJoannaSarah, and myself on the second Monday of every month we share different aspects of our lives.

In January we shared Tips to Share Time on Chores
In February we shared Tips for Falling Asleep.

This month we are sharing our Day in the Life an Average Day.

I feel like no day is average anymore. Since the new year everything has been different. From new schedules to random days off school, to Brian working from home, add in everyone getting sick nothing feels normal, it is just life. I am sharing a day in the life from this past Friday. I didn't do very well with taking pictures either, but I did document what I did most of the day.

Friday March 7, 2025

5am- My alarm went off. I slowly got out of bed and got dressed. I headed downstairs, made some hot lemon and relaxed for a little while before I had to leave. This is when I usually do my mindset morning, but I just scrolled social media.

5:40am- Head to pick Ella up from her dad's house.

6:20am- Home from getting Ella. I laid down on the couch because I wasn't feeling the greatest and hadn't slept well and fell back asleep until about 6:45. Ella got ready for school. Brian came downstairs and opened all the blinds (which is what woke me up)

7am- Anna and Austin wake-up, Ella is already off to catch the bus. Brian made breakfast and coffee, I got all the vitamins and the kids backpacks ready (snack and water bottles), we all ate then I helped the kids get ready for school. I brush Anna's hair and put toothpaste on tooth brushes.
Brian takes the kids to the bus stop every morning, while I finish getting myself ready and feeding the fish and frog (we have 3 tanks).

After the kids were off to school we had to drop my van off at the shop to get an oil change and looked at because my blind spot detectors aren't working.

We got home around 9. I started my sourdough for the weekend. One jar is for artisan loaves for an order and myself. The other jar is a starter for English muffins. The bowl is bagel dough.

Fridays are also laundry day.

With my new schedule it has messed up my cleaning routines (all routines). I cleaned up the living room using the wellness box disinfectant spray, then vacuumed.

After cleaning up the house I took a little time for my mindset morning. Journal, gratitude, Love is the Point devotional, question a day, and Your Name is Daughter

Getting some work done for my marketing job while also getting my steps in for the day. I love my walking pad, and use my daughters gymnastic mats to raise up my laptop.

I also switch laundry throughout the day as the loads are done. (no they didn't get folded)

Around 11 am I made some pre-workout with the intentions of going downstairs to workout, which never happened. I also filled my water cup with electrolytes from the wellness box. Then went back on my laptop to get some blog work done, and emails. I swear emails are never ending, and I had a few collaboration deals with connect with.

For lunch I had leftover salmon and salad.

1215pm Brian and I went to pick up my van from the shop. The tech determined I need new blind detector sensors and would be about $3000, we have opted to not do this. Based on the age, mileage, and other factors it isn't worth putting all the money into the van.

1pm I had a zoom meeting for my marketing job.

230pm I start working on making bagels, they were a little over proofed but will still be delicious. Brian also had to leave for a house inspection.

4pm-ish  All the kids came home from school, we emptied book bags, went through paperwork, the kids got a snack, and I made the artisan loaves dough and English muffins.

430pm I threw some frozen fish in the oven for Brian and I and tater tots in the air fryer.

515pm Brian got home from work and grabbed the kids McDonald's chicken nuggets. We all ate and get ready to leave.

6pm After dinner we headed to downtown Cleveland for the Monster's Hockey game. We went with our church youth group. There ended up being 66 of us.

Anna was sad they didn't have face painting. To make her happy I got her a big popcorn but she shared it with our family.

We had a surprise for Austin. We had two spots so Brian took the other spot. I didn't think Ella would be interested in it and I wasn't sure Anna was old enough or wouldn't want to leave my side.

Austin and Brian were bench-warmers with our church. Then he got on the jumbo-tron too.  Austin first pumped some of the players and one of the ladies from the church got pictures that I can't wait to see.

Cleveland wasn't having a good game. They ended up losing 0-3. We left with 4 minutes left in the third.

10pm We got home and all got ready for bed. The kids put on their PJs and I filled all the humidifiers and diffusers. Anna was in a mood and wanted someone to cuddle with her. I put on my own pajamas, grabbed my kindle and laid down with her for 20 minutes before I went back to my own bed.

That was our Friday. If you shared a day in the life post be sure to link up with us. Next month we will be sharing our creative outlets and/or what we do in our free time.

  2. That's a full day! I love the idea of a day in the life and I've started to do one before but then kind of lose track and forget to take photos so I haven't managed one yet. Someday!
