Hey loves. Are your kids back to school already? We officially started yesterday. I love getting back into a routine and schedules. I didn't expect the emotional roller coaster I had yesterday. I didn't expect it with my kids attending the same schools, they all went to school full day last year, not much has changed. The reality is that this was my first summer working, I didn't check everything off our bucket list, etc. The morning didn't go 100% as planned. I know I am not alone.
FOUR THINGS
Aubriella- 8th Grade
- Ella has joined WEB (Where Everyone is Welcome). She had two days of training over the summer and 1 day where she had to be to school to "run" 7th grade orientation. They got sectioned off into groups and they helped students find their way around the school.
- In the spring Ella got the option to pick classes for this year. She picked French 1, which is high school level French that she is taking in 8th grade. Because of that she has French all year (compared to one semester) and all her classes are full year with no art, gym, health, etc.
- Ella is also in choir again this year and plans on trying out for drama club again.
- I walked Ella to the bus stop for probably the last time ever. (next year she won't take the bus) I also walked her home and she talked the whole way, even though she wont take a cute picture with me.
Austin- 4th Grade
- Austin is doing fall baseball which is only 6 weeks (4 more to go) and already talking about basketball that doesn't start until around the holidays.
- Austin is loving having woods next to our house. His new thing is going on an adventure into the creek (which is down a good four feet) and walking in the woods. We don't own the woods, it is actually owned by 5 or 6 different neighbors, but they haven't complained yet and he isn't hurting anything.
- We went out to lunch on Monday. Austin ordered a water and chocolate milk to drink, which is the extent of what he drinks. Anna got a Starry (which is Sprite or Sierra Mist). When Austin was not looking she switched their drinks. He took a drink and made the worst face. Pop is not his thing.
- He is a growing boy and must be going through a growth spirit and is hungry all the time.
Audrianna- 1st Grade
- Anna is going to be my child doing all the things. We are doing another year of Girl Scouts, she is in the same Daisy troop which meets once a month. She wanted to try soccer again, yes I know I said we would never do soccer again. This time is just a girl league and her father (and her mother) are not coaching. Anna is also doing gymnastics at a new place. She is talking of doing basketball too.
- Anna is the sweetest and will make friends with anyone. She may be horrible with names but talks about so many different kids she talked to.
- Anna had a great first day of school. Her teacher messages me and said she is a model student and could have cared less that she was the only girl at the table
- Anna and I are going to read 100 Days of Brave for kids by Annie F Downs starting September 2 as part of brave kids book club. I would love for you to join us.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
