This month we are sharing our Habits to Make Time for Reading
In 2024 I read over 120 books. For 2025 I made a goal of reading over 150. I am not going to hit that goal this year and I honestly don't even know how many books I have read. I have been slacking on keeping track and doing reviews this year.
Last year as a stay at home mom I would listen to a lot of audiobooks, going to the library a lot more, and spend a good portion on my evening reading. Fast forward to this year, I am working working numerous jobs, (office administrator out of the house 3 days a week, social media marketing administrator for a real estate team, PTA board member) as well as being a mom, girlfriend, and running a household with 3 kids and all the activities. Unfortunately reading has been one of the many things that have taken the back burner of my life. It happens just not as much.
Habits to Make Time for Reading
- read in the morning (on the weekends while finishing coffee)
- read while waiting (Dr appointments, kids pick-up, sport practices)
- while cleaning, doing dishes, folding laundry, etc listen to an audiobook
- while straightening my hair (kindle book stand)
- before bed
- in the morning during my Bible time
- sitting on the couch by the fire
I also want to add I don't watch much TV. I do read or am read to by one of my kids each night. I have the kindle app on my phone but prefer my actual kindle that I will stick in my purse if I know we are going somewhere. I can only read on my kindle in the car not a physical book. I also read physical books slower than I do ebooks.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO

It sounds like such a fun weekend!
