Hello Monday 3.23.2026

Hey loves. Happy Monday. I took a little unplanned week off from blogging. I came back from our 10 day vacation to an overwhelming amount of work at the church, plus my kids can't seem to get a break on not being sick, and

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday

Friday

My kids had off school for a professional development day. Ella got dropped off by her dad at normal time (6am) so I got up to let her in the house then went back to bed. I didn't get up until 8am, the first day sleeping in since vacation. My body needed it.

Brian made breakfast before heading into his office (at home), the kids went to being kids and playing on their tablets for a little bit and I started catching up with emails. Austin has been running a fever on and off for the past 5 weeks. We scheduled him a doctors appointment to get him checked out. I took him to the doctor as Brian had appointments and Ella stayed home to watch Anna. The doctor said it could be lingering from the flu that he had 3 weeks ago. But did agree to get a chest x-ray to confirm it wasn't walking pneumonia. We waited at the lab for 30 minutes for his chest x-rays, then headed home and got the results and hour later. His lungs look good, but still no answer to why he is getting fevers everyday.

Elsa, which is Anna's from, is loving being in the kitchen still. She is so active going up and down the tank and waved hi. The frog and fish tank are sitting in the kitchen since vacation, they really need to go back in their rooms so I have more counter space.

Anna decided it was full on spring with a tank top and skirt. She also insisted she was bored and wanted to play on the trampoline. I told her it had rained and everything was wet but she didn't care. She lasted about 5 minutes before she was cold.

The rest of the day was pretty much a lazy day. We ordered sushi for dinner per Anna's request and it turned out not to be good. The rolls were to huge you couldn't fit in your mouth and they just weren't the best.

Anna is on a family game night kick. We played Pitt and Go Fish, she also played hungry Hungry Hippo with Austin. Then she talked Ella into doing a sheet mask, which was way to big for her little face but she was so happy.

Saturday

A Saturday with no plans or sports. Very rare. I had planned on sleeping in but that didn't happen. I was still up at 7. We had pretty much a slow day.

Ella got picked up by her friend to go see her friends band solo, watch the high school musical and a sleepover.

Brian built a deck box to put our cushions for the outdoor furniture in. Anna said it is the perfect size and her new bed.

Brian worked some of the day while the kids and I just hung out at home. I read a bunch, watched some of Sullivan's Crossing, and just relaxed.

We ended the night with playing more Pitt and Go Fish.

Sunday

Since Austin is still running a fever and we don't know why. His little body is fighting something we just don't know what. His immune system is probably down so we don't want to risk taking him somewhere that he could get more sick, or get someone else sick, even though no one else in the house is sick. With that Austin and I didn't go to church. Brian did take Anna.

While they were at church I started cleaning the living room. I had laid on the floor and saw the dust under the couch. I ended up dusting,  vacuuming and hand mopping the living room and under the furniture. I also ended up vacuuming and dusting the whole main floor.

This girl is a whole vibe of her own. She found her binoculars and wanted to go bird watching, as it was also starting to rain.

We ended the night having dinner with our neighbors. Then home for showers and bed.

It was a much needed relaxing weekend. Soon enough baseball and softball will be in full force.
