Hey loves. It's Friday. Where has the week and month gone. Life has been busy to say the least and Maycember isn't even here yet. I don't even want to look at the calendar for next month for all the things going on, but I have it on my to do list for today to get organized for the next few weeks.
We have had a great week, the weather has been nice, and kids have played outside a lot.
~ ONE ~
Last fall we moved this pink azalia from the front yard to the back. I love the little pop of color it gives. Right now they are the only plants in the yard with color. Mother's day can't come soon enough to start planting.
~ TWO ~
I have been making lots of fires to burn branches that fell in one of the last big storms we had. I got these fire starters that make starting the fire so much easier especially with wet and not aged wood.
~ THREE ~
Relaxing quiet time for myself enjoying some reading while the kids play in the creek. Currently reading.
~ FOUR ~
Spring brings out all the wild life. We have seen this rabbit 3x this year. Last year was the first year we had seen a rabbit in the spring but not in the summer.
This picture was taken from our foyer looking out on the front porch. A bird on each side of the post. I wonder if they are going to make a nest.
~ FIVE ~
90s summer has already started. Austin, Anna and our neighbor played outside and noticed there was a damn blocking the creek from flowing. They put on rain books and problem solved together to get the creek flowing again. They may have been wet and muddy by the time they were done but they weren't on tablets, they got plenty of fresh air, they had fun, and they achieved what they wanted to do.
~ SIX ~
Nicer weather means more grilling. I started making our own buns. These one hour sourdough hamburger buns with yeast was our favorite so far.
~ SEVEN ~
Fairytale day at school. Anna picked Rapunzel. (as well as 6 other girls in her class)
Hair gems and all. Anna got this gem kit for Christmas. The gems stayed very well and some were still in her hair the next day after sleeping and being brushed.
~ EIGHT ~
I went out for a drink with a girlfriend after our PTA meeting. A delicious Cosmo.
My favorite beer is a hazy IPA. Bewdog came out with a non alcoholic hazy beer. I saw it at Trader Joes in single cans and grabbed one. It was tasted just like an alcoholic one.
Bug season has also started. I grabbed these can covers to prevent bugs in my drinks.
