Hey loves. I know it is so unlike me to post on a Sunday. As we prepare for the week ahead, and the craziness known by many as Maycemeber. If you are unfamiliar with the term it is the crazy of the end of the school year and the start of the spring and summer sports season. We also have tryouts for fall sports/band for high school and end of the year Girl Scout meetings and ceremonies.
I am sharing a few tips that I am doing to help make life a little easier for the week ahead for all of us.
1- Calendar- Put everything on the calendar. From appointments, practices, my to do list, etc. I may sure it is written out on my personal calendar for the week. We have 3 calendars (my personal agenda, joint Google calendar, and dry erase calendar) I also make sure everything is updated on our schedules so everyone knows what's going on. This is also when I will figure out sitters or make sure Brian or Ella is home to watch the younger two if need be.
2- Meal Plan- I plan dinners for the week. We have a somewhat rotation but it isn't written in stone and is always weather permitting. (if it is nice out we will grill out) Monday is random night, Tuesday is tacos, Wednesdays is bowls, Thursday is Leftovers, Fridays is Homemade pizza or take out. I don't normally plan our weekend meals (but make sure we have something just in case).
3- Laundry- Friday is our laundry day and I wash all the dirty clothes that equals about 5 loads including towels. I have been slacking on folding and putting the clothes away. We folded and put away all the laundry yesterday.
3- Spirit Week- It is College & Career Spirit Week. From supporting the military, dressing like what you want to be when you grow up, school Spirit etc. My kids have these in their closet that we use to prepare and separate each day's clothes. Tonight we will be picking outfits for the week. This also helps with smoother mornings.
